We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I think it's stable, scalable, and flexible.""The managing and monitoring are the solution's most valuable features. They are something I find quite helpful in my work.""The product's initial setup phase is easy with the help of the framework consisting of Microsoft Azure.""This solution has improved our organization through the provision of efficient resource utilization and capacity planning.""The interface is in continuous development and improves version by version.""This is a good product and I recommend it."

"The monitoring of the network is very customizable. That is its unique feature.""SevOne has rich API capabilities, giving us the flexibility to control what we collect and customize the collection, creation, and manipulation of now metrics as necessary.""SevOne’s data collection functionality is very good. From a collection point of view, we pull SNMP data, which is simple. It is easy to manipulate the pull in the estate. It is really simple compared to some of the other products that we have used. However, for deferred data, i.e., things that we import or don't pull directly, we tend to have a preplanned integration. So, its Universal Collector is really useful.""The most valuable feature as of late has been the API integration with ServiceNow.""We've had great feedback from our customers about SevOne support. They're willing to set up a remote session upon request. You have to go through three tiers of support with most vendors, and they ask a lot of screening questions before they will do a remote session. You need to spend a lot of time before an engineer will host a remote session to look at your problematic system.""Data Insight reporting tool is the most valuable feature. They came up with it a couple of years ago. The most pleasing factor is the dark theme. You don't have a white background. It has templates that you can create for all kinds of reports that you can hit on the fly. It's much better printing of the reports. If you want to send PDFs to people, the reports are actually decent. Whereas for years, the old architecture of the PDFs was rubbish and even our customers said, "We have to manipulate your PDFs because they all have bad margin breaks. SevOne fixed that a couple of years ago with the new Data Insight. It's fantastic.""SevOne provides support for all universal connectors. They internally work with other data sources to get features implemented. We have an SD-WAN implementation and use other app data to monitor performance. If you pull that data into one centralized location, that is very useful for management.""The out of the box reports and workflows are pretty good and they meet our requirements well."

Cons
"The product should increase the processing capacity and allow speedy deployment, as both of them are areas with certain shortcomings where improvements are required.""The quality of service and support for this solution needs to be improved.""The return on investment report is too difficult to understand.""Our customers would like to see the price lowered.""If the solution could provide better integration to make it easier to manage everything on different servers, that would be helpful. Whatever servers a company has, be it IBM, Dell, etc., if the System Management could be a platform that links all of them together, it would make management across different server types easier.""I think that support integration could be improved."

More HPE System Management Cons →

"The GUI: both the dashboard/user view and the admin tool.""The customizations are very hard. The person doing it has to be very good at analytics and has to be very good in all languages""Telemetry is hot these days, and IBM can improve SevOne's support for telemetry correction. Reporting is another feature that could be better. It provides the bare minimum functionality, which is good enough for most engineers, but the management isn't advanced. The new portal provides a much lighter view and better visualization, but the management is not so good.""There is no service mode setup in this monitoring tool if you want to snooze alerts for any specific amount of time, to account for any activity change or major incident.""Would benefit with the addition of AI modules for proactive data insights.""User-friendly, multi-tenancy.""Software upgrades can be tricky is not easy.""I'm not really sure if this was the software's fault or a server issue, but a couple of years back the disks were failing on our SevOne physical server every month and the server would go down. The secondary server took over from the primary until the disk issue was resolved. That was annoying."

  • "Prices per license are not huge, but they exist."

  • "The pricing has not evolved with the market, which is one of the reasons we are moving to a new product."
