We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable features in this solution are you do not get degradation in the performance like you could get in other solutions. There is a physical adapter that is better than a virtual one and you can assign adapters to a VM.""We always recommend PowerVM to our customers; it is better than most solutions.""What I like about this solution, is that it is easy to configure.""The most valuable feature of IBM PowerVM is the performance of the database workload.""Managing other operating systems is also straightforward with IBM PowerVM.""The most valuable feature is the flexibility in terms of managing the hardware resources such as RAM, CPU, and the network.""It is a stable solution with reliable performance.""IBM PowerVM has the highest clock speed."

"Simplicity is the most valuable feature.""The most valuable aspect of this solution is that you don't need to pay for it, it's free, as opposed to paying for a VMware license.""The most valuable feature is the integration between storage and compute services.""The dashboard of the solution is one of its strongest points.""The solution scales very well.""Nutanix is good for new implementations on the VM side. It's very good for disaster recovery and final storage.""The entirety of the infrastructure resides in the same product, which makes it easy to troubleshoot and investigate problems.""Nutanix AHV Virtualization is a private cloud platform offering integration with various public cloud providers. This integration allows for a multi-cloud approach. In my opinion, Nutanix AHV Virtualization's strength is its storage. It innovates and excels in the hyper-converged storage segment, making it the number one choice in this area."

Cons
"SRM for site recovery is a feature that should be included.""This solution is lacking the ability to have servers act as a cluster, such as in VMware. IBM has come out with a feature similar to VMware's vCenter but it is not as mature. They need to add LPM shared-nothing feature, such as in vMotion.""IBM PowerVM could improve the price because it is expensive.""To make it a ten, I would like for them to add automation and configuration tools in order to help use the manager.""The licensing could be better.""The product's pricing could be less expensive compared to other competitors.""The cost of this solution is high.""Any improvements that can be made in the interface will go a long way to helping us work better."

More IBM PowerVM Cons →

"Lacks integration with the cloud or other solutions.""The licensing costs are a little bit expensive.""I haven't come across any limitations. Nutanix doesn't support externally attached storage through Fibre Channel. However, Nutanix doesn't support Fibre Channel connectivity. This, in my opinion, is a weakness of Nutanix. For instance, it does not support Cyber Talent. To clarify, you cannot connect external Fibre Channel storage or NAS storage resources with Nutanix. However, VMware vSAN supports such solutions.""There are some issues with the interface and integration.""The solution's pricing could be improved.""Honestly, there's a lot to work on the product, especially for someone like me who has worked on VMware. VMware offers a significant level of customization when configuring virtual machines, and that level of detail is not as pronounced on Nutanix AHV Virtualization.""It worked well in the beginning but after using it for some time, we found some limitations in terms of compatibility with other software.""The management console needs to improve to make it easier for administrators. For example, to be able to reorganize our VMs, folders, and subfolders, similarly as it is provided in VMware. We can sort, manage, and organize VMs, folders, or subfolders in VMware."
