Pros
Iboss is a solution that prevents advanced persistent threats, and has a zero tolerance for attacks. Our primary use case for this product is DLP,Granular setup, which was able to set different levels of filters using the OUs in the AD.Because of iboss, I did not have to assign web filtering tasks to my techs on a daily basis.Valuable features: Within the filter: Controls (Web categories, applications, and Allow/Block list) and Network (local Subnets). Within the reporter: Logs (Event Log) and Reports.

Monitoring is the most valuable feature because we can easily monitor all kinds of stuff coming over the network. We can check the dashboard and work accordingly. Its hands-off security and the fact that we don't have to maintain it are the most valuable features. This solution provides a DLP on the cloud and very few people have a scanning device for data at rest.

Cons
Sometimes, obviously, there are bugs.Iboss is growing so fast that it is often hard for them to keep up with the challenges.SSL decryption: We had issues with learners using apps instead of using web browsers. This type of encryption is tough for any appliance in a BYOD environment. The area I would like to see improvement in is the ability with in the reporter to navigate directly to the content the user is traversing. It is kind of there, but it's not perfect. Quite frequently, I receive links that lead me to pages with error messages. To scale up, a new iboss Node Blade Chassis must be purchased.

One thing that would help is if we could get a guide. With Cisco, for example, you can just type the problem regarding your Cisco product and you will easily get your solution. In Palo Alto, however, it's not easy to find the solutions. They automatically update and they should give us time to fully understand what they're updating so that we can make sure it doesn't impact production.I would like to see support for custom applications.

Overview

The iboss Distributed Gateway Platform delivers web gateway as a service through its revolutionary architecture. Built for the cloud, iboss defends the modern, distributed organization more effectively and efficiently through a 100% subscription-based platform – eliminating expensive appliance purchases and providing financial predictability. The platform natively delivers consistent security policies to all users, locations, and devices, ensuring seamless protection across the organization. The iboss Distributed Gateway Platform also allows for drop-in replacement of existing legacy appliances without the need to rearchitect existing networks — creating a smooth transition to the cloud and providing immediate ROI.

Since software as a service is so easy, use of SaaS applications is exploding. Because of that simplicity, though, the security risks of SaaS are also on the rise. Unsanctioned SaaS apps can expose sensitive data and propagate malware, and even sanctioned SaaS adoption can increase the risk of data exposure, breaches and noncompliance. By offering advanced data protection and consistency across applications, Prisma SaaS reins in the risks. It addresses your cloud access security broker needs and provides advanced capabilities in risk discovery, data loss prevention, compliance assurance, data governance, user behavior monitoring and advanced threat prevention. Now you can maintain compliance while preventing data leaks and business disruption through a fully cloud-delivered CASB deployment.
