We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
Finding the right symbol and creating links, horizontal and vertical are the features I use.Another good feature is that the numbering of the shapes in iGrafx is much easier and more convenient, in comparison to what is found in Visio. So far I haven't found anything similar to what I have with iGrafx, in that regard. This product fulfills ninety percent of our needs, and we're happy as users of it.Web diagramming and RACI have helped expedite the process, capture, and ownership initiatives of our organization. It has simplified compliance with regulations and company standards.

Cons
In the next release, I would like to see more layers like three, four, and five. It might be possible but I haven't seen it yet.Dragging and dropping shapes is not as user-friendly as in Visio. In Visio, it's very easy to work with shapes and in very few minutes you can plot a whole, multi swim-lane, cross-functional process. It would be helpful to be able to do more analytics and generate reports on historical documents that have already been uploaded to the server.I would love to see a template and shapes for customer journey mapping.

The security features for this solution need to be improved. We are currently facing a lot of issues with Nintex, and we are trying to move away from this solution.Nintex seems to be very server intensive. It is one of the reasons that we are moving to a different product on the SharePoint 2016 platform.Bring all features available from the on-premise product into the cloud version and the workflow error reporting.Converting a document from PDF to MS Word, or vice versa, needs to be improved.User interface could use some improvement. Perhaps integration with Visual Studio or SharePoint Designer would be useful.Currently, copying workflow actions from one workflow to another is not possible. Also, the Office 365 solution is not as mature as on-premise.While Nintex Workflow has pretty robust troubleshooting abilities, I think that improving the default logging and notifications would be helpful.

Pricing and Cost Advice
My company is trying to replace iGrafx because the license is a little bit expensive.

The annual support costs are expensive. Our maintenance costs are reduced.Offering a licensing model that allows for multiple small workflows would be a huge improvement to an already great platform.Nintex products are expensive, but valuable. Licensing in on-premise was historically based on a perpetual model, where you’d license per Web front-end. However, they are switching exclusively to a consumption (subscription) model, where you purchase the number of workflows you think you’ll use in your environment, and can scale up from there.
