We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
Finding the right symbol and creating links, horizontal and vertical are the features I use.Another good feature is that the numbering of the shapes in iGrafx is much easier and more convenient, in comparison to what is found in Visio. So far I haven't found anything similar to what I have with iGrafx, in that regard. This product fulfills ninety percent of our needs, and we're happy as users of it.Web diagramming and RACI have helped expedite the process, capture, and ownership initiatives of our organization. It has simplified compliance with regulations and company standards.

The Workspace is a full, rich application where most users can find what they want. It shows them a list of their work. This solution has given us a quick time to market, the ability to integrate with the rest of the corporate applications, and the ability to hire talent in low-cost locations. We have more than 800 distinct applications in our IT landscape. We had enough scalability and okay development cycles, and it has been enough to cover our backup operations and order management systems. The benefit from the tool is we can develop it quickly and easily use it for middleware services. We can publish the services so other applications can consume them. This is providing us some reusability and a type of security.

Cons
In the next release, I would like to see more layers like three, four, and five. It might be possible but I haven't seen it yet.Dragging and dropping shapes is not as user-friendly as in Visio. In Visio, it's very easy to work with shapes and in very few minutes you can plot a whole, multi swim-lane, cross-functional process. It would be helpful to be able to do more analytics and generate reports on historical documents that have already been uploaded to the server.I would love to see a template and shapes for customer journey mapping.

Overall, the engine and the UI both have to be made lighter.Existing APIs in the product need to be fine-tuned, made more robust and flexible for adoption. It would be good if they could provide some additional connectors or an application developer environment for microservices. It could have easier administration. It takes time to configure and deploy.
