Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Replication allows us to fully replicate all objects from Shop Floor Data Collection (SFDC) to in-house/on-premises database in one job.""REST API: Excellent for scripting control and reporting mechanisms""The support is very good.""I like the fact that you can find almost any product connection that you need and the list is always expanding.""It has a more UI-based tool, and the scripting is good.""The mass ingestion functionality and the elasticity of the solution are great.""Their new licensing is very flexible. With Informatica Cloud, you have plenty of items under the same umbrella, such as services, offerings, data quality, and data masking. You have also got master data management and API management. What I really like about them is that you don't need to go to Informatica and say that you need a data integration module. You would say that you need iPaaS or Informatica Cloud. They'll then try to understand your needs and give you IPUs, which are the processing units. If I purchased a hundred IPUs from Informatica as a customer, I can use 70 IPUs for data integration. I would also need data quality, so I can use 10 IPUs for data quality. I can use the remaining 20 IPUs for API management. Down the line, if I see that my initial data integration needs for the development phase are met, then out of the 70 IPUs assigned for data integration, I can use 30 IPUs for data masking. I can shuffle these numbers in any way within the Informatica Cloud umbrella for the tenure for which I have subscribed to these IPUs. I can use all services the way I want. This flexibility is what I really love about Informatica. It also has got good connectors.""The serverless capability and the packaging application of the solution are valuable."

"It runs like an appliance and has tremendous throughput.""Integrity, ease of use, user-friendly user interface, and errorless logs are the most valuable features.""The fluid user interface (probably the most user friendly interface, when compared to its competitors).""Easy integration with Salesforce""Jitterbit handles the most lines of data in a .csv and loads the quickest of any data loader I have tried.""We only use small parts of the solution, however, the parts that we use are quite adequate.""It is very easy to build integrations and processes to pull and push data.""The Cloud Console for monitoring and troubleshooting data operations."

Cons
"The regions in which the data resides are still limited. This could be an issue in terms of the data residency laws of some of the countries. They should get more regions.""With the solution, we had some issues, and we have every day, and we used to open a ticket. Sometimes, there are data issues and transformation issues.""One area that needs to improve is the user experience because it is very complex. The trial version is very complex so it's not easy to start using the program immediately. You must study the rules first.""I would like to see more functionality added so that it is a bit closer to how much you can do with Informatica PowerCenter.""Performance also needs to be significantly improved, especially when connecting to SFDC for read and write operations.""Its features for partitioning and optimization could be better.""I would also like to have profiling functionalities and quality transformations in the cloud.""While my company operates on the cloud, we have seen that Informatica Cloud Data Integration has some performance issues causing it to lag."

More Informatica Cloud Data Integration Cons →

"The initial setup can be a little bit difficult.""I know with Salesforce updating the UI like they did, it slowed it down a lot.""I would like the ability to offer a dedicated cloud version for security.""You need to have some development skills or hire a Jitterbit engineer to make changes.""Looping through complex data structures can be difficult.""Sometimes we experience disconnections and I have to close all Jitterbit programs.""In the past few months, there have been some server downtimes during work hours that have affected some critical scheduled integrations.""Its API management capabilities need improvement."
