Pros
The full API lets us write custom scripts and apps to enhance even further the end-user experience. The most valuable feature is the ability to manage all devices through Apple's DEP and forcing them into Jamf pre-stage enrollment. It's a great way to keep track of all of our licenses and the software we use daily. We were able to dramatically enhance our cybersecurity, and better support our users.Users love that instead of having to wait for tickets to be resolved, they can open an app and run a specific policy. As an administrator, I really love the integration with Apple Business Manager. The most valuable features are the Jamf agent and the API.Jamf Pro allowed us to patch and manage endpoints while collecting log data to help improve operational efficiency.

It helps implement conditional access policies to restrict mobile users from accessing potentially dangerous emails. The aspects I find most valuable are the managing the data and applications. I can also restrict the users to install any applications. I can also wipe the data if the phone was missplaced or stolen. These are the basics for me.It is a very helpful solution. We have a BYOD policy, and this solution helps us manage our devices. It is a helpful tool to manage BYOD policies. In terms of technical support, you will get an immediate response. It's really easy to access....Intune itself integrates with that entire Microsoft ecosystem. As an individual product itself, it's okay. It holds up. But when you start saying "I've bought this as part of a wider solution, as a company we are going Microsoft throughout," then it makes more sense to have Microsoft Intune... so you have that single dashboard.

Cons
A more modern UI in the next release will make the product absolutely perfect.I wish there was a profile that could be created for configuring Apple software updates on a global basis for our devices, via a configuration profile. There is still no feature for properly patching T2 Security Chip-enabled Macs. This solution would benefit from more focus on Self Service, such as Office 365 and GSuite integration. If it could do ticketing and non-Apple devices then that would be huge.I would like to have the ability to push scripts using MDM commands. There are known issues with the mobile configs that need to be fixed. The list of applications for patch management isn't sufficient.

Intune should be much more granular in terms of supporting more Android cellular devices.I think there should be a better tracking of the cell phones used on the Intune.I think that there is room for improvement with the reporting. If this is done, it will be a better product. There are a few security features that are not available in Microsoft Intune, when compared to other products. There are a couple of issues with stability.I would like to see micro VPN. I like the way that some of the other providers have done something similar where, as you open that app on an end-point device, it creates a micro VPN straight into your device, which is quite a nice little feature. Also, Microsoft Intune relies heavily on its fellow products in the suite. It would be nice if Microsoft Intune could stand on its own two feet.It needs incorporation of Knox, ZeroTouch, etc.It needs certificate provisioning for S/MIME purposes.

The total ROI is worth every penny. With respect to pricing, Jamf Pro is the better bet.If you have the in-house capability to support Jamf, then paying for onboarding / JumpStart training is a no brainer. The cost of this solution is expensive but worth it.JumpStart looks a little bit pricey; however, it is worth every penny. The setup cost is in the training, which is the most important step of your journey.

The product is offered as part of a Microsoft standard bundle. The pricing can be competitive to Airwatch, and Maas360.I have no comment on pricing of the solution. The purchase of the product was handled by someone else.Microsoft Intune is a cost effective choice. It is less expensive than other products on the market. There is a cost benefit of using Microsoft Intune because of the packaging with other Microsoft products.Consider the Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite rather than choosing specific sub-components, e.g. only Microsoft Intune.
