Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The drill-down into detailed views of network activity helps to quickly pinpoint locations and causes. All the information is there.""I really love the Data Explorer. I use it all the time to go in and craft exactly what I need to see. I'm able to then take that story and explain it to the executives. I've done that a couple of times and it is helpful.""We're also using Kentik to ingest metrics. It's a useful feature, and its response time, whenever we're pulling back the data, is higher than our on-prem solution.""It offers a simple yet powerful feature of classifying applications, going beyond basic statistics.""In terms of the solution’s real-time visibility across our network infrastructure, I have not been able to find any other monitoring or netflow visualization tool that gives me the kind of information I get from Kentik. If I need to take a deep-dive into something that I see, it's really easy for me to do that. Whereas with most other things, I have to use five or six other tools to get that kind of data, with Kentik, I have it all in one place.""The most valuable feature is being able to pull traffic patterns; to and from destinations. We're able to understand where our traffic is going, our top talkers from an AS set, as well as where our traffic's coming from.""One of the valuable features is the intuitive nature of building out reports, and then triggering actions based on specific metrics from those reports. It has a really good UI and the ability to surface data through the reporting functions is pretty good. That's helped a lot in the security space.""The most valuable features have been anything around traffic engineering: being able to determine the source or destination of a surge of traffic, whether it's DDoS-related, or a customer just happened to have a sudden uptick in traffic. Being able to tell where that's coming from or where it's going to enables us to do things based on that."

"A flexible affordable solution for defense against DDos attacks.""SSL-based mitigation from DDoS attacks is good from their side. They are capable of preventing SSL-based attacks with certifications and everything loaded onto them.""Technologically simple and effective.""With the secure signature feature, the Radware DefensePro is a big assistance. It is a big help to our customers to improve their productivity and performance. The prompt response from the Radware team is definitely increasing in the new era.""Its functionality is very good.""This solution is extremely scalable and has the highest level throughput (100G) which complies with Telco deployment.""It has not gone down for a quite long time. It's working fine.""It offers valuable insights into ongoing and past attacks, aiding in post-incident analysis and continuous improvement of our cybersecurity strategy."

Cons
"They're moving more in a direction where they are saying, "Hey, here's information that you may be interested in or may a need," before the question has to explicitly be asked. Continuing to move in that direction would be a good thing.""There is room for improvement around the usability of the API. It's a hugely complex task to call it and you need a lot of backing to be able to do it. I should say, as someone who's not in networking, maybe it's easier for people who are in networking, but for me that one part is not very user-friendly.""I've checked out the V4 version of the interface and it's still a little bit clunky for me to use. I still go back to the old interface. That's definitely one that they still need to work on. It doesn't seem like everything that you get in the V3, the older interface, is there. For instance, I was trying to add a user or do the administrative tasks in V4, and I couldn't figure out where I was supposed to do that.""We asked for a way, regarding the potential networks that exist, to hook Kentik up with external tools like peering DBs to correlate things together and see what we can do... This is all in the [next] beta now.""I consider the pricing model as an area for improvement.""I would like to see them explore the area of cost analysis.""The only downside to Kentik, something that I don't like, is that it's great that it shows you where these anomalies lie, but it's not actionable. Kentik is valuable, don't get me wrong, but if it had an actionable piece to it...""I believe they're already working on this, but I would love for them to create better integrations from network flow data to application performance — tracing — so that we could overlay that data more readily. With more companies going hybrid, flow logs and flow data, whether it be VPC or on-prem, matched with application performance and trace data, is pretty important."

More Kentik Cons →

"I would like to see more graphics within the dashboard. Right now, you are required to buy tools in order to have graphical representation for your monitoring.""It could incorporate more intelligence for reacting with web site visitors.""They should add artificial intelligence to the platform. It is currently missing the machine learning piece.""If they would go to a cloud-based approach, that would give much more flexibility in terms of working with them.""We would like to have seven-layer functionality.""There needs to be more reporting.""This solution may not cover all of the requirements in situations for which I am unfamiliar, and there is always room for improvement.""I would like to see better implementation of a zero-day attack implementation strategy with self-mitigation."

Radware DefensePro is a next-generation robust Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) solution. The solution provides real-time network intrusion prevention that will protect an organization's valuable ecosystem from being damaged or immobilized by malicious attacks or threats. Radware DefensePro will aggressively protect an organization's network to negate any potential downtime and minimize any vulnerabilities caused by theft, malware, ransomware, or any other potential network attack scenario.

Radware DefensePro is also very effective in defending against IoT-based, Burst, DNS, and TLS/SSL attacks to ensure organizations are able to stay protected against emerging network multivector attacks, ransom DDoS campaigns, IoT botnets, phantom floods, and many other types of cyberattacks common in the marketplace today.

Radware DefensePro provides users with the following branded security protocols:

    • Reputation Engine: A real-time anti-phishing, anti-trojan protocol that is able to discover any potential threats that have been developed to cause disruption in the financial sector, information theft, and by the dissemination of malware.
    • Denial of Service Protection: This protocol is designed to protect against DDoS attacks by discovering any potential threats and any additional anomalous behavior in real-time and will thoroughly investigate each and every new connection to ensure their validity to the network and maintain security.
    • Network Behavior Analysis (NBA): This protocol utilizes a Radware patented real-time behavioral-based next-generation signature technology to intuitively discover suspicious behaviors that may predict an attack. The NBA protocol immediately uses that data to block the attack.
    • Intrusion Prevention System (IPS): Built on an intuitive stateful static signature detection technology, IPS will glean from systematic and emergency updates to comprehensively protect the organization's network.

Radware DefensePro has many valuable benefits. Some of its most valuable benefits include:

    • Prevent system downtime.

Radware DefensePro is a valued-added effective solution to consider.

    Reviews from Real Users

“The most important thing for me right now in the Radware portfolio is that Radware went to the cloud and has a flexible model based on virtual machines that can be delivered in our data center model, which could be delivered via the public cloud. That’s the big advantage of Radware, from my perspective.” A Senior Product Manager - ICT Solutions, Marketing, and Development of Cybersecurity at a comms service provider

“The important features include automated protection and defense against many attacks. It's important that our networks are protected in the Radware cloud.” John P., Network Architect at Corporación Nacional de Telecomunicaciones

“In terms of the environment that I work in, the SSL, DNS, and HTTP are all valuable features. This is a very technologically simple and effective solution.” Aliasgar R. System Engineer at Check Point Software Technologies
