Because they're such a big industry standard name, their products are standardized across many customers, which is why people own these products.The customer support is very good. If you need an application to do any measurement, you can easily get a hold of people to help you with it. This is a whole ecosystem.The user interface is simple and straightforward, so I can easily measure frequency, time, and other complex measurements.It has the highest bandwidth and resolution on the market.The technical support is good, and it has very strong customer support. They sent an engineer to us who gave us some training and tutorials.The Keysight Ecal feature has made it very easy for me to do calibrations.The product's functionality makes things easier for my partner, who is doing the PCIe design. B-scan is its most valuable feature.We have multiple systems for manufacturing tests, and it's critical for our support. The support increases our productivity.It is easy to handle, so everyone likes to use it.Time domain measurement is very accurate compared to other devices.This solution provides high confidence in the data being presented in the measurement to inform a design decision going forward.The user interface is good, not very complicated. It is very intuitive.The most valuable features are its ease of use, user interface, and PAM-4. Cons
There is a learning curve depends on the client that I am working with. E.g., if I'm working with a client, and they have a test and measurement equipment company, when I go to another company, the new company may not be using the same model.The user interface has a load of features that come with it, which is why it is an eight out of ten.The technical support is okay, but sometimes they are on a different page than us. If it is something wrong with the scope, they are okay. However, if something technical goes wrong, like the calibration, it is hard to get the information that we need because it is hard to share everything and explain all the measurements in real-time.We are using this product to support connected devices for IoT development, but we need more automation.I would like them to build in more high-speed functions, such as FEC or PCIe, built into the array. PERT to be built-in for more specific product call. These would make our lives much easier.If the simulation runs for a long time, it will suddenly crash. If they can debug that, the product would be better.Their GUI is not the best. They need to improve on that. I think their software team needs to put in a little bit more work on how they are presenting the application on the scope.I would also like to see a more detailed change-notice from version to version, what changed. If they had a more detailed description of what is changing and the reason for it, rather than just releasing, that would be good for us so we know whether or not to upgrade.

We are looking for an Intel platform with the newest chipset.I use microservices, but you cannot really probe it, since the technology is not really there.If you are dealing with time domain measurement, I strongly recommend using a vendor other than this company.There are other devices out there which are more capable, offering more features, with as good quality tech support.I want the system to have a wider bandwidth because high-speed continues to move faster, so there is more bandwidth to cover.On the source side, their AWGs don't have enough bandwidth. They need to increase the bandwidth of their AWGs, meaning they have to have a faster sample rate.It needs one button and every time you push it, you get whatever you need.I wish we could turn off the automatic measurement feature of the oscilloscope, for teaching purposes.

The pricing is very expensive.The price is affordable for us, but for smaller companies, probably not.Our solution is upgradable. However, upgrading depends on how much money the company is willing to spend, because each upgrade will take a million dollars.The pricing is very expensive, but with leading technology, nothing is cheap.The pricing is always high.They're not cheap.Pricing always is very expensive. There's no free lunch.Pricing can be improved a bit. They try to make the pricing competitive but I think there are times that the competitors have good pricing.

The pricing is okay. It was within our budget.It costs a quarter of a million. This technology is not cheap.We demoed the product before purchasing it.Tecktronix pricing tends to be pretty fair and reasonable with current market trends. They don't usually bump up the price too much.The cost has room for improvement. Though compared to other companies, it's okay.In the 100 gigabit Ethernet and 400 gigabit Ethernet category, everything is in the multi-hundred thousand dollar range, so it was fair pricing because everything is expensive.They have academic pricing which is helpful.Pricing could be lower. I would want to buy it for an extremely, low price, but Tektronix is a high-end product.
