We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We use it to capture documents coming through our product and mobile channels and make them available for our business to access and email. We use it to automate the email workflow in our applications, pull the documents, and email them to the users.""Being able to have accurate extraction is most valuable. It has machine learning and other tools to make the extraction more accurate.""It allows you to image capture, scan documents and use machine learning to automatically index and tie them.""The automated version of the vendor invoice management is great.""The solution is very powerful because it allows for custom scripting.""The enterprise and capturing feature of OpenText is its valuable feature. As we have integrated CRM with OpenText."

"What I find most valuable in Kofax TotalAgility is its OCR feature. I also find its workflow and business process management capabilities valuable. Kofax TotalAgility also has good integration with other solutions and has an API call feature.""Kofax is very easy to use, UI-friendly and allows easy data extraction.""Data extraction and auto-classification are great features.""The product is really good, and it is easy to use. It comes with multiple integrations. The solution keeps up with the trend of Microsoft Copilot and AI.""Now it has an OCR, optical character recognition, engine where it can extract data from the document.""Essentially, Kofax TotalAgility as a whole is quite nice. As of now, we've only been able to use and explore its document classification and extraction capabilities. We haven't explored and used the case management capability yet, but the scan and capture capabilities we've been using heavily and those are quite good. Our solutions are mainly around those areas of Kofax TotalAgility. We haven't explored the product a lot, but the capabilities we've explored are good.""Its integration capabilities are valuable. It has low code/no code features. You have to do minimal coding.""The most valuable features of this solution are automation, ease of billing processes with the process net, and low to no code development."

Cons
"The area for improvement primarily centers around licensing concerns rather than technical issues. Captiva, intended for larger clients, poses challenges for medium and small businesses due to licensing costs. The current licensing model is based on volume, such as purchasing a volume for one million dollars per year for scanning. This pricing structure may be prohibitive for companies with constrained budgets. Another aspect requiring attention is the mobile capture feature, which, although experiencing recent enhancements in intelligent document processing through AI, could benefit from further improvements. Specifically, there is room for enhancement in enabling users to efficiently capture documents using their smartphones.""I would say what most of the document management solutions are lacking is smartness to detect the duplicate storage of the documents""Knowledge of .NET is required to effectively use the solution or it can be complicated.""It can be more user-friendly, and it should also have more reporting capabilities. There are also a few other things that need improvement.""The setup is medium complexity.""If something is handwritten and attached to an email, it doesn't capture the information correctly.""We are using it to improve the image and the documentation for the cases. And sometimes, some cases have more than fifteen different types. We use some tools as fixed standard analysis and provide information to support the different types to take some decisions and help in an automated process. We choose the case type and subtype DNS scanning documents from the data entry up."

"The pricing for Kofax TotalAgility could be more attractive, particularly the cloud version of the solution which was offered to my company. This is its area for improvement.""Kofax TotalAgility could improve the OTR engine. The page OTR engine is not accurate in predicting the data properly. If you provide many features which are good for business process management without an accurate OTR engine people will not want it.""The Transformation Designer of KTA can be made better.""Kofax should improve its handwritten extractions.""The one thing I would like to see more of right now: is a simplified form creation. That would be the most significant improvement I would like to see in their product.""Room for improvement would be better OCR functionality in terms of Arabic OCR. There should be better accuracy.""Sometimes there isn't enough accuracy when it comes to extracts.""It would be nice if the tool has more connectors to different systems. It is an expensive solution."
