We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"When we started with identity and access management, we cleaned up and skipped 500 accounts. Therefore, there are a lot of people who are still in our system. Using this tool, we have cleaned up a lot of accounts for ourselves as well as our partners and suppliers. So, we can manage everything now.""The most valuable aspects of Omada Identity for me are the automation capabilities.""The customer success and support teams have been crucial.""The best feature in Omada Identity is that it enables us to implement standardized employee life cycle processes so that we don't have to create them ourselves. We can then use the standard workflows. The breadth and scope of the solution’s IGA features also fulfill our requirements.""Two valuable features of Omada Identity are the ability to discover accounts and link them to identities, and the automatic disabling of inactive accounts or identities.""Surveying is a valuable feature because it allows us to import data and see who has access to what data, for example.""For me, the best feature of Omada Identity is its web interface because it's really easy for users to understand.""The identity lifecycle support is definitely valuable because we are a complex organization, and there is a lot of onboarding, movement, and offboarding in our organization. We have 31,000 users, and there are a lot of users who are constantly onboarding, offboarding, and moving. So, we need to make sure that these activities are supported. In old times, we used to do everything manually. Everyone was onboarded, offboarded, or moved manually. So, from a business point of view and an economics point of view, identity lifecycle is most valuable. From a security point of view, access review is the most important feature for us."

"It's more of a risk reduction. It takes passwords that are not being managed properly and manages them automatically which really reduces risk."

"I like the self-service feature. The 502 and UBP systems are also excellent. PingID's ability to authenticate with SSH, RDP, and Windows login is pretty handy. It covers the entire spectrum of use.""This is a user-friendly solution.""The soundness of the solution is its most valuable feature. For example, if you are in our corporate network, you can log on without any traffic interfering.""The solution has a smooth and configurable user interface for single sign-on capabilities.""What I like best about PingID is that it's very user-friendly. PingID is well-built as a developer tool and regularly upgrades and updates via patches. I also like that PingID has clear documents that will help you integrate it with other solutions.""I find the auto-discovery feature the most valuable. It helps us automate a lot of things using a single password across applications.""We use the product to run different reports.""It is a scalable solution...It is a stable solution."

Cons
"Its flexibility is both a good thing and a bad thing. Because it is very flexible, it also becomes too complex. This is common for most of the products we evaluated. Its scalability should be better. It had a few scalability issues.""The web GUI can be improved.""The architecture of the entire system should also be less complex. The way they process the data is complex.""The UI design needs improvement. One or two years ago, Omada changed its user interface to simplify, but the simplification has not really kicked in.""The solution should be made more agile for customers to own or configure.""One thing that we are not so happy about is the user interface. It is a bit dated. I know that they are working on that, but the user interface is quite dated. Currently, it is a little bit difficult to customize the user interface to the need of the business, which is a little bit disappointing. It needs it to be a little bit easier to operate, and it should have a better user interface.""If I had to name one thing, it would be the user interface (UI).""Omada's performance could be better because we had some latency issues. Still, it's difficult to say how much of that is due to Omada versus the resources used by our other vendors in our on-prem environment. Considering the resources we have invested into making it run well, it's slightly slower than we would expect."

More Omada Identity Cons →

"They should improve the application password management. The capability to manage high availability application passwords is its biggest shortcoming."

More Leiberman RED Identity Management [EOL] Cons →

"PingID would benefit from a better user interface for integration.""We have encountered instances where it is not easy to do authentication.""The management console needs to be improved. PingID should revise it.""I think that the connection with like Microsoft Word, especially for Office 365, is a weak point that could be improved.""They could use some bio-certification. It's just more user-friendly and more convenient than entering the one time passes. That would be an improvement.""The solution should allow for better integration with other platforms and the UBT.""The product is not customizable.""PingID should put a little more effort into making a pretty self-explanatory deck about their tech features and the services they offer."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing is too high for SMBs."
  • "Omada continues to be very competitive on pricing, especially on the Omada cloud product."
  • "The initial total cost of ownership to implement Omada Identity is not small. The TCO for the implementation is as high as any other solution. However, the cost of maintaining the solution is at par or lower than competitors, including adding more features or maintaining the system after the initial deployment or installation to make sure that they are available for users to use or extending the functionalities of those activities. Those maintenance costs are lower than other vendors, but the initial cost of getting the system installed is still high."
  • "It is licensed per managed user per year."
  • "There were a lot of administrator, partner, and supplier accounts for people who were no longer working for us but still in the system. So, we reduced the number of users no longer with the company, which saved us some money on licensing."
  • "It's a fair price for the on-premises system. Compared with what we had before, it's much cheaper and we get all the modules in one. We tried to go with the cloud, but it was far too expensive."
  • "From an on-prem point of view, the cost is quite transparent and reasonable. The direct cost is primarily for licenses and maintenance on licenses."
  • "My client deals directly with the Omada Identity team in terms of licensing. I never look at pricing, so I'm not aware of how much the solution costs, but it's worth the money. Often, when you begin to use Omada Identity and it takes a while to set up, it'll be irreversible, and you'd depend on and focus more on the functionality of the solution, rather than its price tag."
