"The alerting feature is very good because it allows you to set MOS alerts at various network junctures or data points.""Its analytical capability is really good.""All in all, LiveAction LiveNX has become an indispensable tool for maintaining and improving our network's reliability and performance, ultimately supporting our organization's goal of providing timely and dependable delivery services.""We don't have any complaints about the software. According to my team, it's a very good tool that's very intuitive.""One of the valuable features is the ability to create CLI scripts on the fly to fix any issues. We were using it for QoS modeling to ensure that we were properly modeling QoS, and it basically said here is what you need to fix to get this QoS done, whether it is ACL or something else. It would either push or recommend. If you have the right credentials, you could also push. It is very good if you are a Cisco shop. It gives you reporting, latency, and bandwidth utilization for your applications, so you can do good capacity management planning. There are a lot of pieces that LiveNX can give you. It is a total NPM solution for SD-WAN.""The intention and the idea of the filter is great.""The product has a very good graphical interface."

More LiveAction LiveNX Pros →

"They've already added extra features, such as noise-canceling and facial recognition, which is great.""The solution allows you to configure and customize how you want to collect information from servers or other systems.""The most valuable feature is that it provides network segregation for server monitoring.""The initial setup was not complex.""Every new asset placed in the environment can be automatically detected, predicting human failures.""We value the auto-host discovery, template import, bulk import/export features. Newer versions also add nice features, such as multi-IP per host.""The level of discovery-based configuration that lets us auto-configure the monitoring for various systems is a valuable feature.""In terms of customization and integration, we have more flexibility. We can automate configurations, define deletion rules, and customize based on the needs. The client interface allows for further configuration, making it quite comprehensive."

Cons
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."

More Juniper Mist Premium Analytics Cons →

"It is not as robust as other NPM solutions. For instance, there is a problem while labeling specific applications. It works well with well-known applications, but when you have to put in new applications that are not very known and set them up with names, ports, URLs, or some protocols, it is not as intuitive.""Improved documentation and more responsive customer support can help in addressing issues faster.""The only downside to this software is the price.""The tool crashes sometimes when we try to pull reports simultaneously.""Sometimes the solution does not register devices properly and that is a bug.""They need to create a more simplified UI.""This is a horrible solution and I think everything needs to be improved."

More LiveAction LiveNX Cons →

"It should be easy to modify the front end.""Having a more customizable interface and dashboard would be an improvement.""Zabbix does not draw automatic mapping of the network, this is something they should add in the future. There is a lot of effort that is involved in tailoring some of the settings which could be made easier.""The product could be more secure and more stable.""In the next release, I'm hoping for features targeted towards larger users with more customizable options. Despite this, I think pre-canned reports that can be used straight out of the box would be beneficial rather than having to configure each report individually. Additionally, a deeper dive into software configurations on the machines would be useful, although I understand there may be challenges in implementing this due to scripting requirements. More documentation would also be appreciated.""We had some scalability issues with a large number of nodes.""The networking monitor is not too easy to work with.""Implementation is always tailored to the customer and the kind of information we need from the client to carry it out can make them very uncomfortable. Sometimes the clients are not ready to share it."

I have researched a quite a few network monitoring tools which can be used for various monitoring purposes of not only the servers, but the intermediate routers as well. There are majorly three types of these softwares. Ones which are completely open-source, you can do almost anything you want using these, but they require quite some expertise before you can use them. Then there are the ones that are not open source, the enterprise softwares and cost you some money, but on the other hand, they are extremely easy to set-up and learn. You can have them up and running in a matter of minutes. And then there are those which are completely cloud based. They can be free of cost or charge some money depending on the software. The good thing about these is that you don’t have to install any extra software, and it can be managed completely online but then again these have limited features and you cannot exploit them to the full extent as you can do with the open-source and to some extent the enterprise software, so I won’t suggest you to use these, because these are generally not the complete solutions and require other support software to achieve the same. Below I have listed the outstanding pros and cons of the various Network analyzers that you can look into Nagios Pros: Nagios offers an extensive set of collector plug-ins that allows users to gather performance and availability data from a broad range of operating systems, including  Windows and Netware Nagios… Read more →
