Cons
"The solution has few features as it does not focus on managing anything in the application."

More ManageEngine Recovery Manager Plus Cons →

"Updating and configuration can sometimes be a little bit of a hassel, but once you know the product better it is easy to use.""I would like to have a more automated installation process.""A lower price would always be beneficial.""If they could let you can do replication to physical servers - a backup from physical servers and a replication to physical servers - that will be better.""I can't think of anything that may be missing.""I would like to see the capability for remote installation of third party applications added( Like installing WinRar MS Office etc..) , and Firewall for servers.""The solution could use some updates to minor details omitted from current reporting.""The predictability of the solution needs improvement. Sometimes, if it's doing something at the back end, it may go slow. Today, the backup completion took four hours, but sometimes it can do the backup in 30 minutes or an hour. With solutions like NetBackup, I can predict to a much higher degree of certainty how long something will take to complete."

    Overview

The native Active Directory backup and recovery utility from Microsoft fails to deliver rapid restorations due to its clunky user interface and lack of control over attribute-level changes. This emphasizes the need for an AD backup and restoration tool that must be user friendly, and also be able to restore all AD objects, including users, computers, groups, containers, OUs, DNS data, and GPOs.

RecoveryManager Plus is one such web-based Active Directory backup and restoration software that is easy to use and also enables you to back up all your AD objects as well as recover deleted objects. Additionally, it offers you the flexibility to restore only specific type of objects or just specific attributes of desired objects.
