Pros
"The most valuable feature of Matillion ETL is the UI experience in which you can drag and drop most of the transformation.""It's been able to do everything we require.""It can scale to a great extent. It can handle the load that we are putting on it, which is about 5TBs.""It has helped us to get onto the cloud quickly.""The most valuable feature of Matillion ETL is the ETL. The solution is open-source which provides advantages, such as good performance and high efficiency. Additionally, it supports three data types which eliminates predefining the data, and we can write script models in Python.""The loading of data is the most valuable feature of Matillion ETL.""The technical support treats us well. They already have a support portal, and they are responsive, which helps.""Matillion ETL helps manage data movement, ingestion, and transformation through pipelines."

"We can develop our own code if we do not see the functionality we need.""The solution can run on any machine and that is a big advantage.""They're very competitive in terms of performance, which is a good selling point. It has very rich features. It provides a very rich feature set in the application.""The most valuable feature is integration.""The availability of connectors is great.""Talend Studio has the ability to connect to almost anything to integrate data from files, databases, web services, etc.""The features that I like the most are the simplicity of the interface, and the ability to quickly develop with a predefined component.""The most valuable features of the Talend Data Management Platform are the components."

Cons
"When using the SQL loader type there were not a lot of pre-processing features for the data. For example, if there is a table with twenty columns, but we only want to load ten columns. In that case, we can use a security script to select the specific columns needed. However, if we want to perform extensive pre-processing of the data, I faced some challenges with Matillion ETL. I did not encounter many challenges, but my overall experience is limited as I only have three years of experience.""Ideally, I would like it to integrate with Secrets Manager as well as the AWS.""I found some of the more complex aspects of ETL challenging, but I grasped the concepts fairly quickly.""Unlike Snowflake which automatically takes care of upgrading to the latest version and includes additional features, with Matillion ETL we need to do this ourselves.""To complete the pipeline, they might want to include some connectors which would put the data into different platforms. This would be helpful.""There are certain functions that are available in other ETL tools which are still not present in Matillion ETL. It would be good to have more features.""It needs integration with more data sources.""Going forward, I would like them to add custom jobs, since we still have to run these outside of Matillion."

"They lack in memory capacity.""The sales and market department could improve the Talend Data Management Platform.""I would like to sync a project and do an upload from that current version, and then from GitLab, be able to download the latest one.""Performance and speed could be improved.""Once you get past the basic tools, it gets pretty complicated.""The stability is good, but the performance is slower when I work on a huge amount of data.""Including either XML or JSON in the next release would definitely be a good transformation. I'm not sure if Talend has that feature, but it's one of those requirements that we are working around and have to do some parsing of XML so this could make it easier.""The product must enhance the data quality."
