Pros
"It has improved the costs of managing my customer’s data.""It's been able to do everything we require.""The loading of data is the most valuable feature of Matillion ETL.""It has good integrations with Amazon Redshift and other AWS services.""It has helped us to get onto the cloud quickly.""The most valuable feature of Matillion ETL is the ETL. The solution is open-source which provides advantages, such as good performance and high efficiency. Additionally, it supports three data types which eliminates predefining the data, and we can write script models in Python.""The tool's middle-dimensional structure significantly simplifies obtaining the right data at the appropriate level. This feature makes deploying our applications easier since we utilize a single source without publishing data from various sources.""The simplicity of this tool is nice. It has a good graphical user interface. You can also do a lot of generic stuff in the tool. If there is good connectivity to a cloud database, such as Snowflake, and you can have a lot of Snowflake functionality in the tool."

"We can develop our own code if we do not see the functionality we need.""The solution can run on any machine and that is a big advantage.""I think Talend is one of the easiest tools for faster implementation compared to other tools.""Talend Studio has the ability to connect to almost anything to integrate data from files, databases, web services, etc.""The most valuable feature is integration.""The solution is very user-friendly and easy to understand.""I like everything about this product, but the biggest thing is the ease of use.""The basic tools are easy to pick up and understand."

Cons
"The tool's lineage is very weak.""When using the SQL loader type there were not a lot of pre-processing features for the data. For example, if there is a table with twenty columns, but we only want to load ten columns. In that case, we can use a security script to select the specific columns needed. However, if we want to perform extensive pre-processing of the data, I faced some challenges with Matillion ETL. I did not encounter many challenges, but my overall experience is limited as I only have three years of experience.""I am looking forward to seeing the expansion of the source range for their data loader product.""Our main challenge currently is that Matillion runs on an EC2 instance, limiting us to running only two processes simultaneously at the entry level.""While the UI is good, it could be improved in its efficiency and made easier to use.""It can have multi-environment support. We should be able to deploy it in different environments. Its integration with SAP connection is not so nice, which should be improved. It can also support an on-prem database.""The product must enhance its near-real-time data capture feature.""The cost of the solution is high and could be reduced."

"Including either XML or JSON in the next release would definitely be a good transformation. I'm not sure if Talend has that feature, but it's one of those requirements that we are working around and have to do some parsing of XML so this could make it easier.""The stability is good, but the performance is slower when I work on a huge amount of data.""I think they should drive toward AI and machine learning. They could include a machine-learning algorithm for the deduplication.""We'd like to see more connectors it the future.""Once you get past the basic tools, it gets pretty complicated.""The product must enhance the data quality.""I've had some issues with bugs causing crashes, especially when making changes to the system or with the monthly upgrades to Studio they've introduced.""The documentation from version to version could be more accurate."
