Pros
"The setup is pretty simple.""Ability to get forensics details and also memory exfiltration.""It is very easy to set up. I would rate my experience with the initial setup a ten out of ten, with ten being very easy to set up.""The stability is very good.""Fortinet FortiEDR's firewalling, rule creation, monitoring, and inspection profiles are great.""We have FortiEDR installed on all our systems. This protects them from any threats.""Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance.""Fortinet is very user-friendly for customers."

"In terms of the Firewall, the EAP assist, the simple interface and the reporting features are quite good for clients. It's very easy to understand and to navigate the Dashboard.""We bought it because it was cost-effective.""The most valuable feature is data loss prevention.""It's very simple to use. The managing of the endpoints is very easy.""The solution's most valuable aspect, for us, is the DLP portion of the product.""Synchronized security is a great feature. My firewall knows exactly what is happening in my endpoint.""Sophos EPP Suite has the capability to stop infections from spreading around the internal network even after the problems have infiltrated it.""The setup is very easy, which takes around twenty minutes to set up the cloud setup and the licensing portal."

"The product's initial setup phase was straightforward.""Trellix integrates well with most SIEM and data classification solutions.""MVISION offers decent protection.""It is a really strong solution for endpoint security.""The exploit guard and malware protection features are very useful. The logon tracker feature is also very useful. They have also given new modules such as logout backup, process backup. Cons
"The only minor concern is occasional interference with desired programs.""The SIEM could be improved.""Detections could be improved.""The security should be strong for the cloud. Some applications are on-prem and some are on the cloud. Fortinet should also have strong security for the cloud. There should be more security for the cloud.""I think cloud security and SASE are areas of concern in the product where improvements are required. The tool's cloud version has to be improved in terms of the security it offers.""The solution should address emerging threats like SQL injection.""Making the portal mobile friendly would be helpful when I am out of office.""I haven't seen the use of AI in the solution."

"I would like to have the capability to support legacy operating systems because the majority now don't support Windows XP, and Windows 2000.""In my country, having an on-premises deployment model is preferred. In this part of the world, on-premises is still the way many companies want to go. Therefore, they should supply some sort of option that allows for that reality.""Technical support needs to be improved.""There are also issues with the compatibility of the OS. When using Sophos with Windows and devices, most of them work well, but as soon as we work with macOS and Linux, many issues arise that we do not want to have.""The logging issues must be fixed.""There could be enhancements made to the DLP.""Sophos EPP Suite's support services need improvement.""One area for improvement in Sophos EPP Suite is the support response time, particularly of the management team. It could be faster because I only got a response from the manager after a few days. If you open a case directly from the website, the response from the technical support agent may have been faster. I didn't open the request from the website, so that could be the reason why the response time took longer."

More Sophos EPP Suite Cons →

"Search feature could be made more user-friendly.""The email protection isn't efficient enough, and I'd like to see DLP features in the next release.""Impacts performance of the servers quite negatively.""I would like to see more automation.""Looking at the current ePolicy orchestrator, and the transition of most vendors to the cloud, they need to do an improvement with the current dashboard or the overall aesthetic of their GUI.""There should be better integration between the ePolicy Orchestrator and FireEye console. The integration of both consoles should be better.""The integration and display of the dashboards have to be done better.""The product could be flexible and offer better pricing."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by Fortinet FortiEDR users.

An Owner at a security firm says, "The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers. The customer has literally about 800 cash registers. That was the use case for Fortinet FortiEDR - to get that down into a tiny space. The only way to do that was to use this product because it had that ability to unbundle services that were a surplus.”

Chandan M., Chief Technical Officer at Provision Technologies LLP, mentions, “The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration.” He also adds, “The security is also very good and the firewall response is good.”

Harpreet S., Information Technology Support Specialist at Chemtrade Logistics, explains, "It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."

DeAndre V., Senior Network Administrator at a financial services firm, states, “The dashboard is easy to follow and use. The deployment and uninstalling were easy. I like the detailed information about the path of a file that might be suspicious. Being able to check that out was easy to follow. Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance.
