We performed a comparison between OpenText Robotic Process Automation and Pega Robotic Process Automation based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about UiPath, Microsoft, Automation Anywhere and others in Robotic Process Automation (RPA)."It lets us automate almost anything, even with the legacy tools. It is very easy for us now to automate with legacy tools, which used to be difficult earlier. We work with a lot of other automation tools from Micro Focus, such as Operation Orchestration, but these tools can only connect to the API. So, there was a gap when we wanted to automate older and legacy tools that didn't have any API to connect to. We can now also automate without any changes in the customer environment. We don't need to change anything in the way that the customer environment works."
"We have a very large operational team and we are able to avoid mistakes and ensure accuracy and speed using Pega."
"Pega Robotics offers all the required features to build end-to-end process automation like any other similar tools. It's unique development style using data line and control flow line makes it easy to debug through the flow."
"The workflow system is very intuitive."
"The solution's automation handling capability has positively impacted the overall automation process in my experience."
"The feature I like best in Pega Robotic Process Automation is that I'm able to add external DLL section codes. I can inject the JavaScript, and I can write VB.NET, C#.NET, and DLL codes, then inject those codes into the existing process. Mainly, from a development perspective, I like that feature a lot, so if anything is not supported by Pega Robotic Process Automation, then I can build that either in JavaScript or in .NET, then use those functions within the IP."
"It helped cut short the release cycle by almost 40% compared to the previous solution."
"I am impressed with the tool's recording feature."
"The most valuable features are the loops to lookup tables to read the data."
"It currently supports only on-premises deployments. They can include support for cloud deployments. It should provide us the ability to choose a robot for executing a workflow. We want to control which robot executes a certain workflow. Right now, it automatically chooses the robot that is going to execute our workflow. It should also provide the ability to get filters on the outputs of the steps. We have each workflow as a step, and each step has some output. We would like to have the functionality to execute some script or some logic on these outputs to format the tests directly on the variables."
"Rule versioning and deployment to enable parallel development could still be improved"
"I would like to see an enhanced auditing feature included."
"The way integration classes are created could be improved."
"You cannot use a two-dimensional array to read the data."
"The handwritten structured and semi-structured data recognition accuracy is much lower and is an area that definitely needs to improve."
"The development experience needs to be improved."
"It's difficult not knowing when alerts will arrive."
"I feel like it doesn't get updated frequently enough. There aren't a lot of new features or a clear roadmap for future improvements."
