Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most useful thing about it is Microsoft OneDrive. It helps me back up everything on my laptop. If I lose my laptop, I can confidently buy a new one and get back my previous work files. I like the Microsoft Office package, Microsoft Word, presentation, and Excel. I like that it is very easy to use, especially for a Mac user. They have a very big community, and whenever I get stuck or have questions, I just ask Google, and then I get the answer immediately.""Microsoft products are familiar to most users and intuitive to use.""I'm satisfied with how they handle data, and the people there are very friendly.""The product has good pricing. It's quite inexpensive.""The feature I find most valuable is Business 365's real-time edit and updates. You can share files, and it will automatically create the link for you.""This is a user-friendly product that is easy to use.""The two biggest value adds of the solution are having the ability to outsource the email and not having to manage the email server. It's just seamless. Having the most current versions all around and having things updating frequently by themselves ensures that everybody's got access to the same software.""Microsoft 365 Business is user-friendly, easy to use, compatible with different devices, such as laptops and phones, and helps me get my job done."

"It's really easy to use the solution.""Yammer shows the post’s actions, comments, and how people react. We can quickly see what's going on.""The user interface and the way we can share and search information are the most valuable. It is very easy to use.""The most valuable feature of Yammer is its integration with all the services of Office 365.""The solution was stable.""Yammer brings in the most relevant posts to the users.""It was a stable solution...It was a highly scalable solution considering it was used in a very big company.""The initial setup was simple and straightforward."

Cons
"The user interface needs some improvement.""The initial setup is slightly complex.""Microsoft 365 Business needs to improve its price.""Microsoft 365 Business could improve by having better integration with other platforms.""There are sometimes problems with incompatibility issues with other types of software.""Microsoft 365 could be less expensive.""It would be better if they seamlessly integrated with Macs. Because I have two laptops, and whenever I open one file in Windows laptop, and then I open the same file in my Macbook, the user interface is not consistent. Certain functions can run on Windows, but another function cannot, but it runs on the Mac.""The time synchronization with the internet could be better, as well as the application architecture."

"Sometimes, we lose access to the solution for unknown reasons.""I faced some issues with Yammer's mobile app when I shifted from Android to iPhone, and it got a little bit tricky to use it on an iPhone, which took away some of my time.""Although Microsoft is working on it, having a centralized network instead of creating multiple networks based on a domain would help businesses with multiple companies or child companies.""It looks slightly less clean on Chrome compared to Microsoft Edge, but it's a minor difference. There is room for improvement in user experience, like positions of elements.""Yammer's UX and UI are areas with certain shortcomings where improvements are required""I would like to see a fancier user interface. That is one of the weak points of Yammer.""The solution must be able to stream by itself, without integration, the same way that you are able to do it on Facebook Live, Instagram, etc. Streaming must be embedded into it.""If you are using other applications that are tough to integrate into the environment, that can cause limitations."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Depending on which plan you purchase, there are a plethora of applications available to you."
  • "Compared to buying a license, it is much cheaper and a good buy."
  • "We do monthly billing, however, I'm not sure what the exact costs are. We may pay around $1,000/month. We started using the Microsoft Teams and we've started doing the conference call feature, so that's another $4 an account and we have a few accounts using that right now."
  • "USD $1,250 annually for the standard package."
  • "Pricing can vary a lot due to fluctuations in exchange rates and that is not favorable for planning."
  • "Now you can select different licenses, for example, if somebody doesn't need all of the features, it would cost $8 USD per month and if they didn't need the email application then it would cost $6 USD per month."
  • "It works out to be $12.50 per user per month."
  • "Microsoft 365 Business will be good to have if you have a large organization where you have more than 3000 employees. Other cheaper solutions, like Gmail, are easily available in the market."

  • "Yammer is a pretty cheap solution, and it's included in multiple subscriptions."
  • "Compared to other products like Amazon, Yammer's pricing is fine."

There are several discussions on SharePoint’s social strategy going on at the moment. I had some great discussions with my MVP mate Adis during Summit last week. Since #SPC12 almost every SharePoint addicted developer, it-pro, power user has reviewed Yammer. If you don’t know what Yammer is, here a short introduction. Yammer is an enterprise social network, which allows you and your coworkers to communicate in a modern way as on Facebook. The huge difference between Facebook and Yammer is, Yammer is private. That means only people from your organization or the people you’ve invited to join your network can see and take part of the conversation which is going on in your Yammer network. With the common understanding of Yammer, you should be able to follow up the ongoing discussions. Adis wrote a great post, summarizing his thoughts on SharePoint and Yammer integration and the upcoming social future. I totally agree with Adis, there are a lot of things missing at the moment. But here my thoughts on Yammer vs. SPSocial Leak of integration In my eyes there is still too much missing, of course you can integrate yammer into your SharePoint, but key features are missing such as SSO, seamless look ‘n feel integration. Prebuild views on Yammer depending on the current SharePoint context or the mobile story. Microsoft shipped mobile Apps for SharePoint 2013 OnDemand and OnPrem. AFAIK are these apps currently available in preview, but each of them is based on SPSocial. SharePoint… Read more →
