We performed a comparison between Microsoft Azure App Service and ServiceNow Now Platform based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Rapid Application Development Software solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The most valuable feature is that it's an ideal solution when it comes to lifting and shifting monolithic applications from on-premises to Azure Cloud. It allows for a quick shift into the cloud without having to analyze and design very specific infrastructure and services for monolithic applications hosted primarily on-premises. Let's say that the team does not want to really redesign monoliths in a microservices-based application and that they want to make a quick move towards adopting the cloud tech stack. Then, Microsoft Azure App Service is probably the best option."
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Azure App Service is customization. It provides the building block from its modularity. You can add what you need with the appropriate code."
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Azure App Service is autoscaling and resource grouping. Additionally, the integration works well, it is easy to do."
"Overall, all of the features are very good."
"The technical support from Microsoft Azure App Service is good."
"One of our reasons to use the product is its cloud service. Our usage is mainly on the cloud and we like the benefits that we can get from the cloud. You can easily do the literal shift of your application easily. You can jump into the cloud very quickly."
"App Service's best features are that it can be scaled easily and it includes Kudu."
"Enroll in some kind of formal training, not from Microsoft, but from a partner, and keep up with the change because the Azure platform changes a lot."
"The main reason that people use ServiceNow is that performance is very good."
"It is a stable solution...It is a scalable solution."
"In ServiceNow, the best features are the reports. We have more options there."
"We have seen a big improvement in the experience that we want to create for our end users."
"It is a stable solution...It is a scalable solution."
"The product's most advantageous feature is platform innovation."
"The simplicity is great."
"Assignment Group history is really important to me."
"It would be fantastic if Microsoft morphed after my exit service, removing it from subscriptions and moving it to different regions, especially for that service."
"The logging and monitoring could improve in Microsoft Azure App Service."
"The solution is somewhat expensive."
"Microsoft Azure App Service could improve by having better integration with on-premise solutions."
"The cost management of this solution could be better. We only receive estimations."
"I want more transparency in billing. It would be better if we could understand and control the billing to customize it. Also, Microsoft should provide more guidance about the widgets and subsets of various products. The Microsoft portfolio is so huge that it's sometimes difficult to choose the correct option. There's always a chance we are paying more than necessary."
"Limited integration is an area for improvement in Microsoft Azure App Service. Another area for improvement in the platform is multi-language support."
"Microsoft Azure App Service has a lot of complexity because there are a lot of options and functionality. It is simple to become confused, there are many technical elements to learn before you can utilize the solution. If they could make the solution easier to use it would be a benefit."
"From an improvement perspective, the product's complicated initial setup phase can be made a bit easier."
"The basic reporting system is rather static."
"It is still difficult to build a set of services in ServiceNow. It can be done, but it is one of the more difficult things to do. If we're talking about scalability, we're talking about the ability to actually build that set of services a little easier."
"The integration towards other ERP systems could be improved."
"I feel that the solution's user interface is an area with certain shortcomings, where improvements are required."
"What I didn't like in the ServiceNow Now Platform is testing, particularly with Visual Studio. It had a bad integration with Visual Studio because you can't compile and run it from there. You have to debug on your own and then find out where the error is through test scripts. The testing component in the ServiceNow Now Platform isn't that great. What I'd like to see in the next version of the ServiceNow Now Platform is an improvement in testing and writing scripts, and if there was a feature to just run it from the modules, then that would be great, instead of finding the error manually and checking where it is."
"When it comes to integration, it can be complex compared to other tools I'm currently using."
"It's not quick or cheap."
