Find out what your peers are saying about Microsoft, JAMF, VMware and others in Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM)."This product works very well for companies already using the full Microsoft suite."
"Conditional access helps me control uncontrolled access."
"Internet-based access with security is what I have found to be most valuable. It is also a stable and scalable solution."
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Intune is having all our devices compliant with our policies."
"It is quite policy-enabled, so you can build pretty much any policy to manage remote endpoints."
"Its protection policies are most valuable. It protects mobile devices as well as individual apps. It is pretty scalable, and its documentation is also pretty good. It is also pretty straightforward to deploy."
"Intune can wipe devices. For example, if a disgruntled employee wants to leak the data on their company phone, Intune can terminate their access and wipe the entire device with a click."
"Based on my experience, I find Intune very flexible for managing Windows devices. We can use scripting, and we can make use of the self-service portal or the company portal to publish some of the applications for Windows."
"You can scale the solution up or down by department."
"The product is a unified solution and you don't require to purchase tools from different vendors. The system analyzes behavior and activity and takes steps for protection."
"A good feature that is present is MAM or Mobile Application Management. We can deploy this feature on the device, which is not managed by the organization. If I apply some security configuration on a personal device, the user would be really disappointed. What we do instead is that we give all access to the applications related to corporate and ask the users to use the application. We secure the application by putting the security features on the applications and not on the users' devices. This way, the users are happy, and we also meet our company's compliance standards. Then, everyone is happy."
"The solution offers excellent documentation that is easily available online."
"Microsoft Mobility and EMS include Intune for Mobility, which provides mobile device management and mobile application management. With mobile device management, you can control the entire device in an organization."
"The solution is very good at securing files. For example, if I forward a secure document, it's blocked from others, as I can send it with restrictions in relation to who can open it."
"It is a stable solution...It is a scalable solution."
"The product is centralized and we can use it for security purposes."
"Even without any customization, if you install it, configure it, it's ready... It's very powerful. Without any customization, it starts working."
"This is almost a complete solution for us."
"One Identity Manager connects SAP accounts to employee identities under governance. The connector from One Identity for SAP is the most powerful one in the market. This connector can touch all the levels of the objects in SAP. It can not only be connected to SAP ERP but also to SAP HANA, GRC, etc. One of the strengths of One Identity Manager is the SAP connector. You can touch a lot of the SAP environment and also have deep granularity."
"The product helps minimize gaps in governance coverage."
"The most valuable features are centralized Identity Management, robust Access Governance, and One Identity Manager workflow automation."
"The most valuable features are that it has a lot of capabilities, can integrate with a lot of systems, including automated onboarding like CyberArk, and allows you to integrate different entities."
"Its flexibility is the most valuable feature, the way we can customize the user interface and the workflow processes."
"For the recertification and segregation of duties, it's easier to know all the information about our employees. If we need to delete some information, we can do it from a central point, then it can be deleted on all our searches. This is very good for GDPR."
"I have a lot of Apple products in my environment. It would be nice to have an improved integration of Apple products with Microsoft Intune without Jam."
"It should be easier to define policies and comply with those policies."
"There are a couple of issues with stability."
"More integration with monitoring tools is needed."
"The current Intune reporting functionality could benefit from some improvements."
"Having a dedicated configuration server that assists in modifying the configuration service, and creating personalized structures, interfaces, and web services could enhance usability."
"Regarding mobile devices, Intune is good, but there are other services that I would say are ahead of Intune from an administration and reporting point of view."
"I expect Microsoft Intune to have more features in the cloud because there are two major functionalities that we need to be added. This is software metering and license management. These functionalities, for now, must be on-premise. For this purpose, we have set up a SQL Server and I hope that in near future this option will be in the cloud in Microsoft Intune."
"There are certain shortcomings in the licensing model of the product where improvements are required."
"The licensing is quite expensive."
"The MDM part of the engine could be better."
"Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security is expensive."
"Its performance needs enhancement."
"The auditing and reporting could be updated and upgraded. I would like to see light applications because they consume a lot of the device's memory at present."
"Technical support could be improved. Sometimes they use a third party that's not so knowledgeable in the product and that can slow down things a bit."
"Microsoft's feature management is based on licenses. Microsoft follows ethical licensing and hence do not restrict the use of it."
"Some features aren't supported by the technical support. It is based on your own risk, which I can accept, but I would be happier if they would provide me some additional information about them anyway, e.g., deleting tables or columns."
"More integration with SAP and with the internet of things would be good. We also have system devices that we could manage as identities, so that would be a feature to add."
"A room for improvement in One Identity Manager is its analytics. Though it's getting better from version to version, the analytics feature still needs improvement. I would appreciate more analytical features in the next release of One Identity Manager, so I can do a better analysis. Another vendor, for example, has a self-certification system where you can send people, then create a type of profile or screen for each person, and the person can see his entitlement and the risks behind that entitlement, so then the person makes a decision on whether he wants to keep or let go of it, and that's an out-of-the-box feature that would be good to see in One Identity Manager. Another feature I'd like to see in One Identity Manager that would be very interesting is integration with SIEM or any log collection product for both access and usage. For example, I'd be able to see that I have access to a particular application and also get information on how many times I've accessed it in the last year, last few months, etc. It's a feature that would be great to have in One Identity Manager."
"A feature that I would like to see is a mobile app that provides users the ability to make changes or add users to the Active Directory, on the fly."
"I would like some access management features to be added. We have some customers with a small need to do authentication as a service, and there are other solutions on the market which offer this."
"One of the things we would like is the ability to have more than one system role manager. That would be nice. For example, when people are on vacation, sometimes it gets a little hard to administrate system roles."
"There is a small area inside of the administrator's GUI that could be a little bit more organized."
"The user experience is good, but it can be improved. There are a lot of features in the administration part, and they need better documentation. For example, they need to explain the main reason for a feature, and what the tables are in the database. It needs better documentation about all the features that are in the solution."
