We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
We have liked the fact that it comes with Microsoft Windows 10 and it is constantly updated with all new virus definitions. It is also updated with new security features on a regular basis.Automatic scanning and cleaning of viruses is the best and most valuable feature helping this tool to thrive. If any viruses are found, they are cleaned automatically. The most valuable feature is that we can use the solution right out of the box without too much configuration. The most valuable features are that it's easy to use and the updates are very simple.Defender is integrated into the operating system. It's integrated with everything. You don't have to spend time analyzing what you have to do to be sure that the integration is okay between the security tool and all the other apps. This, from my point of view, is the main advantage.I like the real-time protection features. Windows Defender will detect if there's a threat like a Trojan or something like that but Kaspersky lets it run normally. This is a very go, proactive solution to threat protection using advanced analysis. It's really stable. I've used a lot of stuff, a lot of products, like ESET and Kaspersky. None of them are comparable with this one. This one is much better.

The configuration is easy. The sandboxing is more proactive and more reliable than any of the other endpoint protection solutions.Your workstation doesn't slow down, unlike when you use Symantec, for example. The solution gives users peace of mind that, form an endpoint perspective, they are protected once it is installed. The solution integrates well with other Trend Micro products. What I like the most is the customer pricing because it's a great value. The most valuable features are the behavior monitoring, behavior analysis, and web reputation service. The most valuable aspect of the solution is that it also protects our smartphones. It's one of the reasons we use Trend Micro specifically.

Cons
There is no behavior analytics for devices and endpoints. There is no behavior-based protection. With increase of cyber threats and cybersecurity issues, I would recommend that the product be developed like an AI product with more features which can counter any threat in the coming eras. There's scanning going on that occasionally topples the memory, causing everything to freeze. This should be fixed.I would like to be able to set up any kind of protection I want in the firewall, any IP address or any number. The solution needs to improve its ransomware. It's not so good. It could also use some general performance optimization for the computers the solution operates on, to ensure it does not slow down the devices. The system can always be simplified and have a better integration check. More detailed reports would be good. When it does the integrated check, it just shows if the system is okay but I want to know what happened.Updates are not coming out of preview quickly enough and it is holding back on the development of the product. The end-user also cannot do some advanced actions on it. It's a little bit complicated for our end-user, so it needs to be simplified.

There is room for improvement to make it better for customers. This product is not very simple and in fact, kind of hard for some people to understand.I've not explored all of the features up to now. I still need to see all of the features implemented first to be able to see if anything is missing. However, as of right now, it's working very well for us.The solution needs to improve the deployment so it aligns with the latest Microsoft patches and upgrades. It makes the deployment process lengthy and painful. The threat response could be a bit better. In the next release, I would like to see a combination of the different features from Apex One and OfficeScan in Trend Micro Smart, rather than as upgraded features. The only drawback to this solution is that it needs different products for different types of clients, and it would be better to have a single agent for all of the products. We were considering switching to SentinalOne because it has pre-detection, and Trend Micro does not offer this; it's something the solution should add.

Our organization has paid licensing for three years, which averaged about $4.00 USD per user. We've been satisfied with the licensing. It's quite reasonable. The licensing is on a yearly basis and I believe our organization paid about $2,000/year. However, it's been a while since I looked at the pricing and we no longer use the solution. This solution provides good value for the price. We pay for the solution on a yearly basis. We pay approximately 100 Euros a year per user. There are no additional fees above this.
