We performed a comparison between Mirantis Container Cloud and Trend Micro Deep Security based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Container Virtualization solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The product is easy to use."
"This solution has cut down on our development time and allows us to spin off new instances for inner development, testing, productions, and security testing."
"The most valuable feature is its ease of use."
"Very easy solution to use as it is intuitive."
"I think the volume binding is a really interesting feature."
"This solution has improved our organization with the agility, microservices approach, and scalable solutions for distributed systems."
"The product's most valuable feature is cloud simulation to predict application behavior on the cloud."
"Docker is very helpful for taking the code from development and applying it to the end user."
"Signatures are frequently updated."
"DLP, Data Loss Prevention, and the complexity of how we manage the console and how this client, or this tool, will notify us when there is something going wrong within the server and endpoint, is good."
"It provides a comprehensive feature set and a strong security baseline for us with integrations into other security tools."
"Virtual patching is a wonderful feature where we do a recommendation scan and an internal assessment on the server, and it updates the IPS signatures to block any attack. I have seen instances where it has prevented attacks on the end-of-support servers such as 2018 R2, and many years ago, even 2007 servers that were end-of-support. It certainly helped there."
"Trend Micro Deep Security is a complete solution and all the threat management has been taken care of."
"The integration and configuration of this product in our AWS environment was good. We haven't had any problems at all."
"It can scale well."
"The initial setup was straightforward."
"The initial setup was quite complex."
"Sometimes the basic support is a bit difficult if you have a firewall and cloud servers behind the firewall and then try to implement the backup solution, it is a bit difficult to do by yourself."
"It would be very nice to have a GUI that can be used by any administrator, and not just people who have experience with Docker."
"This solution is open-source and they need to focus on improving the Linux Operating Systems' GUI. It does not have a GUI making it not user-friendly. Additionally, the containers need to improve security and compliance."
"In my previous years, I have brainstormed about the development of Container software. I have recently shifted focus, but the knowledge gained from those were really helpful. In my experience, Containers have their own complexities and to implement them, open source information is crucial. A software with new features would be beneficial. I suggest to implement a flow-based approach for container sequences, similar to Google Cloud's machine learning. The current process of deploying containers involves too many steps, and a more streamlined method would be appreciated. I've even automated deployment using APIs. Overall, simplifying container management and deployment processes would be valuable."
"The orchestration and tracing should be improved."
"This product will only be useful if it can successfully run legacy applications in the cloud."
"The solution's stability could be improved."
"It would be helpful if they could send emails notifying their users about the recommended upgraded versions to address the newly discovered vulnerabilities."
"I would like to see better pricing. The pricing could be lower."
"Post-implementation is time-consuming. You have to do monitoring, and that takes time. After you set up everything, it's not a full-fledged implementation. You have to keep on monitoring and configuring."
"The tool should integrate SIM functionality. It should also improve customer support."
"The setup is fairly complex. The deployment took around two months."
"The implementation can be inflexible and not easy, as it requires knowledge of things like virtualization and administration on Windows."
"They are still working on the company integration from TippingPoint because this was a recent acquisition from a few years ago. So, a Tipping Point integration with Deep Security, having one single pane of glass dashboard, would provide us a simple use case."
"AWS products could become more compatible with intrusion detection products leveraging help from Trend Micro."
