We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The best feature in Omada Identity is that it enables us to implement standardized employee life cycle processes so that we don't have to create them ourselves. We can then use the standard workflows. The breadth and scope of the solution’s IGA features also fulfill our requirements.""We are able to onboard new user accounts much faster by automating the process and standardizing our operations globally. Previously, there were many individual processes and manual admin interactions. We also see a lot of cost savings and benefits because through automation and standardization.""The most valuable aspects of Omada Identity for me are the automation capabilities.""Omada's user interface is elegant and easy to work with. I like Omada's ability to automatically generate accounts for new hires and allow them access to all required systems by established policies. Around 80 percent of workers can start working immediately on their first day without requesting further access.""The most valuable feature in Omada is the governance. We work with other products and other product vendors, but the sweet spot in the market for Omada is where things are heavy on governance.""Omada's best feature is creating accounts, automatically assigning permissions, and distributing resources based on assignment policies.""Omada Identity Suite has a very powerful workflow engine. It is used for requesting access for approval to everything that's around Access Management and for re-certification purposes.""The support for the validity of the resources is valuable. The tool allows resource assignments within a validity period so that the managers do not have to remember to revoke the access once the work is done."

"We’re very satisfied with technical support. Usually we get people with the right knowledge who understand the solution very well.""NetIQ Identity Governance has improved the security of my company.""When doing a review you can either make manual or automatic fulfillment to immediately apply the manager's decision to the system, like removing or adding new permissions to the user account.""All three functionalities, access certification, the configuration of duties, and role mining - especially role mining - are very advanced compared with the competition.""I really like the separation of the duties. It is the most ambitious model in the server because you have to create all the different rules, especially business rules. You have to check with the client and set different policies and rules, and then, you to have refine them. You will notice what is bad in the company and where the real problem is.""You can run reports and verify the access each user has. There is a process that runs automatically for access review. It sends an email to the manager and provides a task for the manager to review the users and access. The manager can approve or reject, and then it goes to the application owner for further review. This feature is especially important in large customer environments, as manual review can be challenging.""This solution has been around for a long time. It has had lots of successful deployments and releases.""I like the queries and find the catalog to be comparatively powerful."

"I find the auto-discovery feature the most valuable. It helps us automate a lot of things using a single password across applications.""The solution has a smooth and configurable user interface for single sign-on capabilities.""It's pretty stable as a product.""It provides ease of connecting all our devices.""The mobile biometric authentication option improved user experience. It's always about security because, with two-factor authentication, it's always a separate device verifying the actual user logging in.""It gets a mobility portal in place in conjunction with Office 365. It provides very good possibilities and it's much better than other technology that we have used before which was unstable and slower.""What I like best about PingID is that it's very user-friendly. PingID is well-built as a developer tool and regularly upgrades and updates via patches. I also like that PingID has clear documents that will help you integrate it with other solutions.""I like the self-service feature. The 502 and UBP systems are also excellent. PingID's ability to authenticate with SSH, RDP, and Windows login is pretty handy. It covers the entire spectrum of use."

Cons
"The architecture of the entire system should also be less complex. The way they process the data is complex.""What I would most like to see added to the product is role management, especially enterprise or business role management, and the processes around that.""Functionality and usability could be improved.""They need to improve the cost for small companies.""There is room for improvement in Omada's integration capabilities, particularly in streamlining complex integrations and enhancing programming logic for better rule management.""When making a process, you should be able to use some coding to do some advanced calculations. The calculations you can currently do are too basic. I would also like some additional script features.""We are trying to use Omada's standards and to adapt our processes. But we have had some trouble with the bad documentation. This is something that they could improve on. It has not been possible for us to analyze some of the problems so far, based on the documentation. We always need consultants. The documentation should include some implementation hints and some guidelines for implementing the processes.""The user interface should have a more flexible design, where you can change it to your requirement."

More Omada Identity Cons →

"The product could use more advanced features related to Identity Intelligence.""The solution should provide more connectors in future releases. The solution also should offer more monitoring.""NetIQ Identity Governance is not flexible. Sometimes, filtering information to provide users with options, such as selecting the application to which they want to request access, can be challenging. It needs to improve application integration as well.""With NetIQ, you have to install two or more products. It would be better if we could install one product and have one server and one dashboard.""We need more connectors to cloud applications like AWS.""The initial setup has room for improvement.""They haven't really evolved the product to the cloud, so they don't have a cloud solution.""Technical support is horrible."

More NetIQ Identity Governance Cons →

"I think that the connection with like Microsoft Word, especially for Office 365, is a weak point that could be improved.""PingID classifies the type of environment into internal and external, which is an area for improvement because you need to take additional steps to trust internal and external users.""In the beginning, the initial setup was very complex.""If the solution is going to compete with Microsoft, they need to offer more unique functionality to keep their current user base.""The management console needs to be improved. PingID should revise it.""PingID would benefit from a better user interface for integration.""PingID should put a little more effort into making a pretty self-explanatory deck about their tech features and the services they offer.""It has a long way to go until it is a cloud-based solution."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing is too high for SMBs."
  • "Omada continues to be very competitive on pricing, especially on the Omada cloud product."
  • "The initial total cost of ownership to implement Omada Identity is not small. The TCO for the implementation is as high as any other solution. However, the cost of maintaining the solution is at par or lower than competitors, including adding more features or maintaining the system after the initial deployment or installation to make sure that they are available for users to use or extending the functionalities of those activities. Those maintenance costs are lower than other vendors, but the initial cost of getting the system installed is still high."
  • "It is licensed per managed user per year."
  • "There were a lot of administrator, partner, and supplier accounts for people who were no longer working for us but still in the system. So, we reduced the number of users no longer with the company, which saved us some money on licensing."
  • "It's a fair price for the on-premises system. Compared with what we had before, it's much cheaper and we get all the modules in one. We tried to go with the cloud, but it was far too expensive."
  • "From an on-prem point of view, the cost is quite transparent and reasonable. The direct cost is primarily for licenses and maintenance on licenses."
  • "My client deals directly with the Omada Identity team in terms of licensing. I never look at pricing, so I'm not aware of how much the solution costs, but it's worth the money. Often, when you begin to use Omada Identity and it takes a while to set up, it'll be irreversible, and you'd depend on and focus more on the functionality of the solution, rather than its price tag."

  • "It's expensive relative to the cloud solutions that are out there."
  • "I give the cost a nine out of ten."
  • "In terms of pricing, the tool seems a bit cheaper compared to other SaaS solutions."
  • More NetIQ Identity Governance Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "PingID pricing is a ten out of ten because it's a little bit cheaper than other tools, such as Okta and ForgeRock, and supports multiple tools."
  • "PingID's pricing is pretty competitive."
  • "The product is costly."
  • "The pricing is neither too expensive nor too cheap."
