We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Allows us to use it the way we need to instead of changing our needs and processes to fit the product.""Utilizes best practices that are simple to implement.""The solution is scalable.""We've set up Jira integration and used robotic process automation (RPA) to streamline various processes, like procurement and invoicing. Some processes still require manual approval, like supplier invoices, but we're simplifying those too. We're also exploring integrating with other tools like Power BI for better data analytics and reporting. Currently, our automation focuses on general tasks, not document understanding or anything complex like that.""The ability to customize it to create custom fields that are reportable, and then to be able to write script behind it to automate other processes that might otherwise be manual is great.""NetSuite OneWorld, the consolidation feature has been incredibly valuable. However, I cannot speak to the full range of features and functionalities offered by OneWorld as I am not familiar with all of them. I have utilized OneWorld primarily in the biotech industry, with a focus on operating expenses and financial reporting, such as capital contributions and foreign currency adjustments. I am confident, however, that OneWorld offers a robust module for reporting and consolidating revenue, though I have not had the opportunity to directly utilize this aspect of the software.""NetSuite is a great solution, fast to bring up and makes everyone's life easier.""Inventory management in NetSuite OneWorld is one of the best in the industry, so this feature is what I like most about the solution."

"The guidance SAP offers for implementing the product is clear and the online resources are great.""The solution is versatile with various integrated tools such as connecting with finance modules, controlling parameters, and creating universal journals.""The reporting that we are doing from SAP S/4HANA Cloud is a valuable feature.""With the newer update, there are more funnels as well as ample opportunity to customize the solution. With the SAP Optimizer, companies are using about five to ten percent of the product as-is while the other ninety to ninety five percent is customized to automate and standardize processes.""The solution is stable.""The solution links everything and allows us to integrate into our entire supply chain.""The most valuable features of SAP S/4HANA Cloud are the detailed solution costing, integration, and built-in analytics.""The integration is very stable."

Cons
"In NetSuite OneWorld, what needs improvement is the production planning functionality.""I don’t like the SaaS models. Of course, they make the tool powerful enough to run a billion-dollar business. The tool is cheaper than SAP or Core.""Some entities are not available for multiple subsidiaries, which requires duplication.""Currently, NetSuite OneWorld needs to be more mature, especially compared to SAP.""Certain analytics features are missing that I've come to expect from other systems. Additionally, there are occasional issues with data accuracy that need to be addressed. Overall, deeper analytics capabilities would greatly improve the tool's usefulness for me.""Project collaboration through Dashboard Business Management and Relations Management is easy to perform, but it does need to be worked on as it is difficult for customers, suppliers, and internal users to use.""There is not a 20 year pedigree of pharma experience in the NetSuite channel. While there are many of these CMO Pharma companies rapidly moving to NetSuite, there are few consultants with true pharma experience. Those who have experience are stretched pretty thin.""NetSuite OneWorld, the consolidation feature has been incredibly valuable. However, I cannot speak to the full range of features and functionalities offered by OneWorld as I am not familiar with all of them. I have utilized OneWorld primarily in the biotech industry, with a focus on operating expenses and financial reporting, such as capital contributions and foreign currency adjustments. I am confident, however, that OneWorld offers a robust module for reporting and consolidating revenue, though I have not had the opportunity to directly utilize this aspect of the software."

More NetSuite OneWorld Cons →

"The solution is expensive. That can be an issue for clients.""The product can be improved by including a module for after-sales service modules.""Integrating SAP with other products like payroll solutions should be smoother. I wish there were some tools a consultant could build according to the client's requirements. For example, say I want to process debit and credits. In SAP, we have to follow SAP terminologies and patterns. I need a template to deploy my structure according to the client's requirements. There is no structure available in SAP that a consultant can mold.""S/4HANA isn't ideal for managing contracts and subscriptions. There isn't a feature to notify us when a contract for a service we need is approaching its end or a product is no longer supported. You need a separate solution for that.""It's a huge software, and they need to make it look less complex and more user friendly. They need to work on user stories and user experiences.""The solution's speed and dashboard could be improved.""The user experience has some room for improvement. S/4HANA covers various scenarios based on the best business practices, but users complain about its user experience. It is not a user-friendly ERP solution. I rate the current UX seven out of 10.""I would like to see a feature where it allows integration with more platforms."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Consider the roles of the employees who will use NetSuite and identify any groups who will only utilize the employee center. These licenses are cheaper and will reduce costs significantly."
  • "Measure twice, cut once."
  • "Good solution for the price, but hire a skilled project manager to handle the technical setup."
  • "Do not try to go it alone. Get a consultant who has been there and listens."
  • "NetSuite offers a great many advantages, including a cost of about third of the traditional pharma manufacturing ERP packages."
  • "NetSuite OneWorld is much less expensive for a very small to medium-sized business. Still, when you grow into an enterprise-level company, the price increases, but as long as you plan and know that going in, it's manageable."
  • "NetSuite OneWorld has fair pricing. It was not very expensive, so price-wise, I'm rating it as five out of ten."
  • "NetSuite OneWorld tends to be pricey. The decision to allocate a budget for this solution ultimately rests with the management and negotiating team, and I am not typically included in these discussions. Nonetheless, the information I've received leads me to believe that it is a costly platform. There are not any additional costs that I am aware of."

  • "The pricing is competitive with other products at that level in that category."
  • "I feel the solution is expensive when it comes to what can be obtained with open source software."
  • "This is a pricey solution that best serves large enterprises. Be sure to ensure that your company's requirements need to be fulfilled by SAP. There are many other ERP's that are cheaper yet highly functional. However, it is still cheaper than some of the competition (i.e. Oracle, ESD, etc.)"
  • "I don't remember the specifics about the licensing, but it's scaled and modular. You pay for what you use. It's not a one-size-fits-all license. You have a license for every single module. It's similar to Oracle."
  • "The licensing process for SAP S/4HANA Cloud has worked well."
  • "It's very expensive."
  • "Pricing wise, SAP S4HANA Cloud is very expensive. The licensing cost can be 100,000 euros per year, depending on the number of users in your company."
  • "S/4HANA is an enterprise solution that many can't afford. You must invest a lot to get the most out of it. It isn't cheap. I rate the price seven out of 10."
