Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"In the DDoS it's difficult to validate what is a genuine request from an end user. We've started being able to do that with the logistics that they have set up. With the protection that they have provided, they are able to identify what is valid and what is not valid. We see that a person who is getting DDoS Neustar service is able to block that particular user. However, while they are doing that it doesn't affect other customers on the server."

"All of our traffic has to pass through the appliance, so we can very quickly mitigate the attack. This is a very valuable feature. On top of that, it's not only volumetric attack protection that the solution offers, but also layer 7 attack protection as well.""The pricing is reasonable. It's not overly expensive.""As a service provider, we use the SecOps dashboard feature. That's where we check the time of attacks to see if an attack is happening at the moment or if it has already happened... It is very dynamic and helps us know when an attack occurred, how long it lasted, and what type of attack it was.""The product integrates well with Cisco.""They have a hybrid model approach if a client wants to go that way.""Radware DefensePro is one of the best solutions for on-premise protection.""It has not gone down for a quite long time. It's working fine.""This solution is extremely scalable and has the highest level throughput (100G) which complies with Telco deployment."

Cons
"I would like to see a dashboard that shows you the data that is transferred from which end. It's where people start looking at abuse management. People keep questioning when the mitigation is on what service it is and how many GBs are passing through. An end user dashboard that will help you identify all of these questions and that can be visible in your entire organization is something that would make sense."

"APSolute Vision needs to be more granular so that it's possible to get real-time information.""If they would go to a cloud-based approach, that would give much more flexibility in terms of working with them.""This solution may not cover all of the requirements in situations for which I am unfamiliar, and there is always room for improvement.""I would like to have more granular steps according to protected bandwidth, so the granularity should be better.""They need to increase the limit of devices that we can manage.""This product would be improved if ongoing live monitoring with dashboards were added.""It could incorporate more intelligence for reacting with web site visitors.""I would like to see better implementation of a zero-day attack implementation strategy with self-mitigation."

    Overview

Distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks are growing in size, complexity, and malice. Neustar offers flexible solutions so you can stay connected, reduce the threat of theft, and protect your bottom line:

    • Cloud-Based DDoS Protection: Neustar SiteProtect cloud is the optimal choice for attacks too big for on-premises hardware to manage. Rely on our massive global network and scrubbing capacity to defend your Internet presence.
    • Hybrid DDoS Protection: Get the best of both worlds: on-premises hardware to stop smaller attacks instantly, plus the Neustar SiteProtect cloud when attack volume and complexity explode. We offer the largest and most effective hybrid platform solution.
    • On-Premises DDoS Protection: On-premises Arbor Networks hardware, fully managed by the NSOC, monitors your appliance and mitigates attacks 24/7.
    • Contingency/Failover Service: Gain backup or parallel processing capacity to stop large attacks faster. For SaaS providers, large financial organizations, and carriers especially, it’s a cost-effective way to uphold service quality.

Radware DefensePro is a next-generation robust Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) solution. The solution provides real-time network intrusion prevention that will protect an organization's valuable ecosystem from being damaged or immobilized by malicious attacks or threats. Radware DefensePro will aggressively protect an organization's network to negate any potential downtime and minimize any vulnerabilities caused by theft, malware, ransomware, or any other potential network attack scenario.

Radware DefensePro is also very effective in defending against IoT-based, Burst, DNS, and TLS/SSL attacks to ensure organizations are able to stay protected against emerging network multivector attacks, ransom DDoS campaigns, IoT botnets, phantom floods, and many other types of cyberattacks common in the marketplace today.

Radware DefensePro provides users with the following branded security protocols:

    • Reputation Engine: A real-time anti-phishing, anti-trojan protocol that is able to discover any potential threats that have been developed to cause disruption in the financial sector, information theft, and by the dissemination of malware.
    • Denial of Service Protection: This protocol is designed to protect against DDoS attacks by discovering any potential threats and any additional anomalous behavior in real-time and will thoroughly investigate each and every new connection to ensure their validity to the network and maintain security.
    • Network Behavior Analysis (NBA): This protocol utilizes a Radware patented real-time behavioral-based next-generation signature technology to intuitively discover suspicious behaviors that may predict an attack. The NBA protocol immediately uses that data to block the attack.
    • Intrusion Prevention System (IPS): Built on an intuitive stateful static signature detection technology, IPS will glean from systematic and emergency updates to comprehensively protect the organization's network.

Radware DefensePro has many valuable benefits. Some of its most valuable benefits include:

    • Prevent system downtime.
    • Minimize employee downtime.
    • Maintain peak performance.
    • Minimize network attack surface.
    • Minimize overall risk.
    • Improve response time to potential threats.
    • Improve defense and security.
    • Protect the organization's brand and reputation.
    • Cost-effective
    • Excellent Return on Investment

Regrettably, DDoS attacks are on the rise in today’s busy marketplace.  As these types of attacks become more sophisticated and pervasive, it is incumbent on today’s busy enterprise organizations to ensure they have an effective and aggressive DDoS solution in place. Radware DefensePro is a valued-added effective solution to consider.

    Reviews from Real Users

“The most important thing for me right now in the Radware portfolio is that Radware went to the cloud and has a flexible model based on virtual machines that can be delivered in our data center model, which could be delivered via the public cloud. That’s the big advantage of Radware, from my perspective.” A Senior Product Manager - ICT Solutions, Marketing, and Development of Cybersecurity at a comms service provider

“The important features include automated protection and defense against many attacks. It's important that our networks are protected in the Radware cloud.” John P., Network Architect at Corporación Nacional de Telecomunicaciones

“In terms of the environment that I work in, the SSL, DNS, and HTTP are all valuable features. This is a very technologically simple and effective solution.” Aliasgar R. System Engineer at Check Point Software Technologies
