With 42 high-speed SAS drives, it's optimized for customers whose infrastructures support Microsoft Exchange, Oracle, SQL and other databases, as well as those that involve large file servers, virtual server environments or large amounts of small files. Equally important, SASBeast includes FC and iSCSI connectivity and allows customers to combine SAS, SSD and SATA drives within the same system to address different application requirements.

The SGI InfiniteStorage 15000 delivers a combination of industry leading performance for bandwidth intensive applications with the next step in storage density. Now, high bandwidth and archival storage needs can be met with a single system. Combine high performance SAS with high capacity SATA drives in an ultra dense 4U, 60 slot, drive enclosure. Manage up to 1.2 petabytes in two racks - reducing requirements for floor space, power, cooling, network infrastructure and management overhead.
