"It is a very user-friendly product.""The real-time reporting feature of Nmap is particularly valuable. It generates detailed reports on the source and destination IP addresses, the protocols used, and the types of traffic.""Nmap is easy to use. It's a command-line interface, and the output is quite good.""The best feature of Nmap is that it lets me see useful information about each endpoint in my entire network environment. For example, I can see every single connection of the network as well as each and every port.""The scanning procedure includes UDP ports which sets it apart from competitors.""It enables us to delve deeper and identify the services and open ports on the system and visualize this information on a dashboard automatically.""The tool's most valuable feature is its scripts. These scripts prove beneficial when security features may obscure or block connections. Nmap helps identify vulnerabilities across different systems, including web servers and various server types.""The initial setup was simple."

"It's able to capture packets and, after a long time, you can come and use that information; to check, to analyze - everything you would want to do. So it's very good and helpful if you want to protect your data. It is stored in a certain place where you can access it every time you want to analyze it.""It can help to write your rules, organize firewalls, your block, and also your protocols and IP address to come in or out of your network.""This solution allows us to see exactly what is going on in the network and we can very quickly solve issues with users.""The ability to capture packets. It is not only for monitoring. That is very important for a company that wants to keep an eye on the packets, the transactions, the flows...""I also have the ability to see an application's performance, to see what's going on, why a network is slow, why this program for this user is experiencing a delay or some network issue"

Cons
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."

More Juniper Mist Premium Analytics Cons →

"The price is high and could be cheaper.""It takes a bit of time to get familiar with the solution and its options.""There could be a specific option to check non-pingable endpoints for the product.""Since I started using Nmap, it has been completely based on the command prompt and I think it would help other users if they implemented a decent GUI as well.""There is room for improvement in the design, the GUI. It looks a bit odd. Maybe Nmap should improve it or add more widgets to make it more attractive, but the basic functionality is good and provides what we need.""They should deliver Playtech's username and password.""Customization is not very user-friendly in Nmap.""Nmap needs to improve its scanning speed."

More Nmap Cons →

"Maybe the graphical user interface could be simplified to allow people to use it more easily. It's already good, but they can work more on it to make it even easier.""Graphics need improvement. Because a lot of the information there you have to input first in some case to have full potential. It could be more automated.""I would like to have more than 4TB of storage available in the portable version of this solution."

  • "The solution is open source so it is free."
  • "Nmap is open source software, which suits us well because we are a manufacturing company and not an IT company, for example. If we were an IT company, we would probably need to pay for extra support or instead go for another software solution. But as it is, we don't have any need for high-end troubleshooting tools."
  • "I am using the standard free version of Nmap."
  • "The solution is free of cost, but there are specific services that we have to buy."
  • "The solution is free of cost."

  • "Nmap is an open-source and free product."
  • "It's an open-source solution. Commerically, only the support service is available."

Juniper Mist Premium Analytics is a comprehensive network analytics solution that provides organizations with valuable insights into their network performance and user experience. The primary use case of this product is to enable IT teams to proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize their network infrastructure.

The most valuable functionality of Juniper Mist Premium Analytics is its AI-driven insights and recommendations. Leveraging machine learning algorithms, it analyzes vast amounts of network data to identify anomalies, predict potential issues, and suggest remediation actions. This proactive approach helps organizations minimize network downtime, improve user experience, and optimize network performance.

By providing real-time visibility into network performance, Juniper Mist Premium Analytics helps organizations quickly identify and resolve network issues. It offers detailed analytics on network traffic, application performance, and user behavior, allowing IT teams to pinpoint the root cause of problems and take immediate action. This not only reduces troubleshooting time but also enhances overall network reliability.

Furthermore, Juniper Mist Premium Analytics enables organizations to optimize their network infrastructure. This helps organizations to ensure that their network is efficiently utilized and can support the growing demands of their users.

Nmap ("Network Mapper") is a free and open source (license) utility for network discovery and security auditing. Many systems and network administrators also find it useful for tasks such as network inventory, managing service upgrade schedules, and monitoring host or service uptime. Nmap uses raw IP packets in novel ways to determine what hosts are available on the network, what services (application name and version) those hosts are offering, what operating systems (and OS versions) they are running, what type of packet filters/firewalls are in use, and dozens of other characteristics. It was designed to rapidly scan large networks, but works fine against single hosts. Nmap runs on all major computer operating systems, and official binary packages are available for Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X. In addition to the classic command-line Nmap executable, the Nmap suite includes an advanced GUI and results viewer (Zenmap), a flexible data transfer, redirection, and debugging tool (Ncat), a utility for comparing scan results (Ndiff), and a packet generation and response analysis tool (Nping).

Observer GigaStor is a network analysis tool that comes in a variety of form factors, including rack mount, portable, and virtual. Capable of storing up to a petabyte of traffic for later analysis, GigaStor helps ensure optimal network and application performance.
