We performed a comparison between Nutanix Prism and ServiceNow IT Operations Management based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about VMware, IBM, Nutanix and others in Virtualization Management Tools."Everything has been valuable, without a doubt the server is self-managed with Prism in an efficient way, it solves possible logical errors to maintain production without interruptions, it's great."
"Aside from ease of use, scalability is one of the key points of this solution."
"Duplication and compression work for data in a hybrid solution."
"Prism is easy to scale."
"We were impressed with Nutanix, overall. Some of the other main drivers for our switch to it were the simplicity of setting up our Nutanix clusters, ease of management, and that their support is very respected. There is an overall ease of use, compared to VMware. I'm sold on their product."
"I like the general usability for general configuration. It is sufficient for everyday operations."
"Prism Central is a single point to manage every cluster. Everything can be managed in one panel. Everything is there on the main page of the dashboard."
"The recent life cycle management feature is really helpful to us. Before that, we had to do everything manually, but now it's like a one-stop shop. We can upgrade firmware and all of the software from there. Also, managing storage information and other hardware-related resources is easy using Prism."
"It includes a valuable feature called Discovery, that aids in application portfolio management, enabling visibility into IT infrastructure from top to bottom."
"The solution allows you to subscribe to the features you need and utilize CMDB, ITSM, and discovery on the same platform."
"It helps streamline management and processes."
"The most valuable features of the solution are discovery, cloud governance, event management, and service mapping."
"The most valuable feature of ServiceNow IT Operations Management is the user interface."
"You can improve integrations of the operation with the solution."
"The dashboard maintenance is very good, and the tool doesn't get stuck."
"ITOM communicates information about incidents and maintains them. It handles tickets change, manages service networks, and reduces IT service downtime for the organization."
"The life cycle management or LCM feature is the most complicated. It takes really long and is unpredictable for our use cases. They should provide more detailed information about the kind of LCM to go for, various errors, and different kinds of tasks. For analytics for certain configurations, we require more details with the report. Sometimes, not all elements are present for support, management, and configuration. For troubleshooting, it would be very easy and useful if we can analyze log files directly from Prism, that is, not from the command line but directly from Prism."
"It would be ideal if there was more of a community around the solution so that it would be easier to learn things about the solution from other users."
"There can be some constraints on how it scales, making granular scaling difficult with the product."
"I would like more insights about virtual machines. It would be helpful to have more detailed information about resource allocation and usage, so we can distribute resources and reassign them more efficiently."
"When we get a request from a user for a file-level recovery, there are self-recovery options, but they only work if the replication is available to that cluster locally... In VMware, we could restore a VM and attach the hard drive to any other server and copy the file easily. But that kind of facility is not available in AHV."
"There are a few areas related to visibility on the dashboard that can be improved. It's good, but the visibility can be improved in terms of single locations."
"The replication we have does not have any backup systems built-in. We have to separate license records for backup, like onboard. We would like to have this in a future release."
"I wish the main landing page, the dashboard, could be organized in a way where, when there is an alert because something is wrong, I would not have to click three or four times to get to what actually happened. I wish it were quicker to get to the bottom of the problem."
"There is a slower learning curve associated with the tool's scripting part. It is also not cheap."
"The security policies could be increased."
"There are not enough apps in the app store to expand functionality. There should be more made available."
"If you are new to using the solution, you will find the setup complex."
"The pricing is high."
"The out-of-the-box reporting feature is not as user friendly as other tools."
"The pricing of some modules is higher because they are sold in packages. If we need something specific, we cannot take it individually."
"ServiceNow IT Operations Management could be improved by providing more user customization options."
