Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Omada's best feature is creating accounts, automatically assigning permissions, and distributing resources based on assignment policies.""The most valuable feature for us is the ability to set up connectors to various IT systems and offer a wide range of supported connectors.""You can make resources. You can import them from Azure or Active Directory and put them in an application. For example, if there is an application that uses a lot of Active Directory groups, you can make the groups available for people. If they need to access that application, you can tell them the resource groups you have for that application. People can do everything by themselves. They do not need anybody else. They can just go to the Omada portal, and they can do it all by themselves. That is terrific.""Its best feature is definitely the process design. It is quite easy and straightforward to design a process.""It has a lot of out-of-the-box features. It is flexible, and there are a lot of possibilities to configure and extend it. It is user-friendly. It has an interface that is end-user or business-user friendly.""The support for the validity of the resources is valuable. The tool allows resource assignments within a validity period so that the managers do not have to remember to revoke the access once the work is done.""User-friendly solution.""I appreciate all the support we receive from Omada."

"It's pretty stable as a product.""We use the product to run different reports.""The only feature we were looking for in PingID was SSO integration with our existing web app.""The mobile biometric authentication option improved user experience. It's always about security because, with two-factor authentication, it's always a separate device verifying the actual user logging in.""I find the auto-discovery feature the most valuable. It helps us automate a lot of things using a single password across applications.""It is a scalable solution...It is a stable solution.""It provides ease of connecting all our devices.""The solution is stable. We haven't experienced any bugs or glitches."

Cons
"Omada's reporting functionality is limited and could benefit from greater customization.""The Omada Identity SaaS version doesn't provide all the features Omada Identity on-premise provides.""What I would most like to see added to the product is role management, especially enterprise or business role management, and the processes around that.""The backend is pretty good but the self-service request access screen, the GUI, needs improvement. It's an old-fashioned screen. Also, Omada has reports, but I wouldn't dare show them to the business because they look like they're from 1995. I know they are working on these things and that’s good, because they’re really needed.""In our organization, all the data is event-driven, which means that if an attribute is changed in the source system, it can be updated within a few seconds in all end-user systems. There is room for improvement in Omada regarding that. Omada is still batch-based for some processes, so sometimes it can take an hour or even four hours before the execution is run and the update is sent.""The security permission inside Omada needs improvement. It's tricky to set up.""The user interface should have a more flexible design, where you can change it to your requirement.""The Omada support response time has room for improvement."

More Omada Identity Cons →

"PingID classifies the type of environment into internal and external, which is an area for improvement because you need to take additional steps to trust internal and external users.""It has a long way to go until it is a cloud-based solution.""The management console needs to be improved. PingID should revise it.""They could use some bio-certification. It's just more user-friendly and more convenient than entering the one time passes. That would be an improvement.""We have encountered instances where it is not easy to do authentication.""PingID would benefit from a better user interface for integration.""PingID should put a little more effort into making a pretty self-explanatory deck about their tech features and the services they offer.""In the beginning, the initial setup was very complex."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing is too high for SMBs."
  • "Omada continues to be very competitive on pricing, especially on the Omada cloud product."
  • "The initial total cost of ownership to implement Omada Identity is not small. The TCO for the implementation is as high as any other solution. However, the cost of maintaining the solution is at par or lower than competitors, including adding more features or maintaining the system after the initial deployment or installation to make sure that they are available for users to use or extending the functionalities of those activities. Those maintenance costs are lower than other vendors, but the initial cost of getting the system installed is still high."
  • "It is licensed per managed user per year."
  • "There were a lot of administrator, partner, and supplier accounts for people who were no longer working for us but still in the system. So, we reduced the number of users no longer with the company, which saved us some money on licensing."
  • "It's a fair price for the on-premises system. Compared with what we had before, it's much cheaper and we get all the modules in one. We tried to go with the cloud, but it was far too expensive."
  • "From an on-prem point of view, the cost is quite transparent and reasonable. The direct cost is primarily for licenses and maintenance on licenses."
  • "My client deals directly with the Omada Identity team in terms of licensing. I never look at pricing, so I'm not aware of how much the solution costs, but it's worth the money. Often, when you begin to use Omada Identity and it takes a while to set up, it'll be irreversible, and you'd depend on and focus more on the functionality of the solution, rather than its price tag."

  • "PingID pricing is a ten out of ten because it's a little bit cheaper than other tools, such as Okta and ForgeRock, and supports multiple tools."
  • "PingID's pricing is pretty competitive."
  • "The product is costly."
  • "The pricing is neither too expensive nor too cheap."
