We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It has a lot of out-of-the-box features. It is flexible, and there are a lot of possibilities to configure and extend it. It is user-friendly. It has an interface that is end-user or business-user friendly.""We don't have to go in and do a lot of the work that we did before. It may have saved us somewhere in the range of 10 to 30 percent of the time we spent on provisioning access.""For me, the best feature of Omada Identity is its web interface because it's really easy for users to understand.""Omada Identity Suite has a very powerful workflow engine. It is used for requesting access for approval to everything that's around Access Management and for re-certification purposes.""You can make resources. You can import them from Azure or Active Directory and put them in an application. For example, if there is an application that uses a lot of Active Directory groups, you can make the groups available for people. If they need to access that application, you can tell them the resource groups you have for that application. People can do everything by themselves. They do not need anybody else. They can just go to the Omada portal, and they can do it all by themselves. That is terrific.""Omada's onboarding features reflect our processes for onboarding new employees well. That is the primary reason we use this solution. We use role-based access control. I'm not sure how much it has improved our security posture, but it's made managing identities more convenient.""The most valuable feature is the automatic provisioning and reconciliation of things like the Active Directory groups and memberships.""The thing that I find most valuable is that Omada consists of building blocks, which means that you can configure almost anything you want without using custom code, making it pretty easy to do. It's possible to connect to multiple target systems and to create one role that consists of different permissions in the different target systems. So one role in Omada can make sure that you have an account in three different systems."

More Omada Identity Pros →

"In my role, the most valuable features are two-factor authentication and self-service password reset. The most helpful feature for the institution as a whole is probably the single sign-on. As an IT director, I care about security and ease of use.""The single sign-on and the fact that we can integrate everything in one place and control from there were valuable features of this solution.""OneLogin is efficient.""When it comes to access management, the solution's single pane of glass is extremely important. The single pane of glass for access management enables collaborative work between IT and security. We have access to certain applications that require device trust. Based on the role, we can access those applications through OneLogin Desktop.""The solution allows the user to search logs based on a specific time.""It's super useful to have a single pane of glass when it comes to access management.""Simplicity is the most valuable part of OneLogin.""The solution's ability to save and manage of all my passwords is great."

More OneLogin by One Identity Pros →

"The most valuable feature is the security, in particular, the One Time Password support.""Roles, connectors for provisioning and re-accreditation or reviews help greatly to govern user access.""The data collection is excellent and easy to do. It does not require a lot of configuration nor does it require rules to be written like other competitors do.""With the tool in place, you need to hire fewer people to provide access, and you have control over your processes.""RSA Identity Governance and lifecycles are good for the access certification and auditing sections."

Cons
"I would like more training. As someone who is new to this world, I don't feel that the courses Omada provides are good enough. They should also improve the documentation. It is difficult to learn how to use the solution by yourself""The comprehensiveness of Omada's out-of-the-box connectors for the applications we use could be better. We are getting a new HR system called Cornerstone for which they do not have an out-of-the-box connector, so we have to take the REST connector and play around with it.""The account management integration isn't bad, but it isn't plug-and-play like Microsoft Azure. You need some deep development knowledge to set up the connectors.""If I had to name one thing, it would be the user interface (UI).""The security permission inside Omada needs improvement. It's tricky to set up.""If you find an error and you need it fixed, you have to upgrade. It's not like they say, "Okay, we'll fix this problem for you." You have to upgrade. The last time we upgraded, because there was an error in a previous version, we had to pay 150,000 Danish Krone (about $24,000 at the time of this review) to upgrade our systems... That means that we have to pay to get errors fixed that Omada has made in programming the system. I hope they change this way of looking at things.""When the re-certification process is launched that makes Omada very slow. There are performance issues in the current version.""Its flexibility is both a good thing and a bad thing. Because it is very flexible, it also becomes too complex. This is common for most of the products we evaluated. Its scalability should be better. It had a few scalability issues."

More Omada Identity Cons →

"To offboard, you have to manually click on this checklist, each of the checkmarks. It would actually be really nice if, for offboarding someone, you just click "offboard" and it automatically runs a script to do that.""The tool must be made more robust.""I'd like OneLogin to have a customization section that displays the company's offerings, categorized by different topics.""The solution keeps going down for many hours, which impacts the entire company. You can't access any applications. OneLogin Desktop has a huge problem where it locks your computers and you need to reset the whole computer, which is pretty insane.""We've been experiencing some pain points since the acquisition. For example, there have been some outages we didn't see previously, which are a big topic with my executive team. You have hundreds of applications relying on this service for login. If the service is unavailable, nobody can log into these applications.""I would like better reporting from SmartFactor Authentication when a user is not able to sign in due to a new location, new IP, new device, et cetera.""OneLogin needs to increase the number of connectors available out of the box to connect to the different endpoints. The number of out-of-box connectors should be increased.""This product doesn't necessarily provide us with all of the functionality that we need, such as being able to share passwords with external users."

More OneLogin by One Identity Cons →

"This product is missing a lot of features which other competitors are providing. One of the key features that are missing right now is risk scoring. Additionally, there is not much scope for customization - everything is hard-coded and predefined, so it does not allow the developers to make many modifications.""The user interface and workflow need improvement, and more connectors would help.""There are scalability issues. This product does not scale very well. It is not a good product for load balancing / active–active architecture.""RSA Identity Governance and Lifecycle could improve out-of-the-box customization.""Technical support in Pakistan can be improved.""Every connector that you have in the product needs to be custom-built, so there are not a lot of standard connectors available in the product, because of which there are a lot of hidden consultancy costs.""If you use the appliance version then it won't handle a huge database volume."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing is too high for SMBs."
  • "Omada continues to be very competitive on pricing, especially on the Omada cloud product."
  • "The initial total cost of ownership to implement Omada Identity is not small. The TCO for the implementation is as high as any other solution. However, the cost of maintaining the solution is at par or lower than competitors, including adding more features or maintaining the system after the initial deployment or installation to make sure that they are available for users to use or extending the functionalities of those activities. Those maintenance costs are lower than other vendors, but the initial cost of getting the system installed is still high."
  • "It is licensed per managed user per year."
  • "There were a lot of administrator, partner, and supplier accounts for people who were no longer working for us but still in the system. So, we reduced the number of users no longer with the company, which saved us some money on licensing."
  • "It's a fair price for the on-premises system. Compared with what we had before, it's much cheaper and we get all the modules in one. We tried to go with the cloud, but it was far too expensive."
  • "From an on-prem point of view, the cost is quite transparent and reasonable. The direct cost is primarily for licenses and maintenance on licenses."
  • "My client deals directly with the Omada Identity team in terms of licensing. I never look at pricing, so I'm not aware of how much the solution costs, but it's worth the money. Often, when you begin to use Omada Identity and it takes a while to set up, it'll be irreversible, and you'd depend on and focus more on the functionality of the solution, rather than its price tag."
  • More Omada Identity Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "Surprisingly expensive given the price of on-premise solutions."
  • "The pricing for OneLogin seems to be okay. The pricing and licensing are affordable. If you'd consider OneLogin to be expensive, it's worth it."
  • "The price of the licensing is fine."
  • "The pricing and licensing are reasonable. It is much cheaper than other products."
  • "We were happy with the price we got when we signed up, but I don't know what will happen when the time comes to renew because it is a different company now. We haven't seen any pricing models or had that discussion yet. My renewal is a year and a half away. It's worth what we're paying for it. There's no way we could provide the level of service for cheaper or try to do the same in-house."
  • "OneLogin's pricing, from the perspective of the education sector, seems quite reasonable for the value it delivers."
  • "While I wish OneLogin's pricing was more affordable, their licensing model, which is based on per user, is acceptable."
  • "It was cheap in the beginning, and then it became very expensive. We were initially charged $2 per user per month, which was fine, but by the second year, they increased it to $5 per user. That became very expensive for us because we had about 1,500 users. At $2 per user, it comes out to be $3,000 a month, which is $36,000 a year. If we move to $5 per user, it comes out to be $7,500 a month. That made its cost so high. That is why we removed the product because the cost was high."
  • More OneLogin by One Identity Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "Pricing varies based on user count/number of modules you need."
  • "We are using the cloud platform, but we don't find it compatible to be served as a multi-tenant platform. This is a large drawback. It becomes expensive because it is then an all-dedicated solution. You have to have a separate tenant for each client, which increases the cost. The overall unit pricing can be less expensive than how it is right now."
  • "I rate the product's price a five on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
