We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
The analytics have been very good. We've found them to be quite useful.I really like the auto-tuning, auto-scaling, and the automatic load balancing and query tuning in the system.I loved the simplicity of loading the data and simply relying on the self-tuning capabilities of ADW.Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse is used globally to deliver extreme performance on large Financial data sets.

The solution is simple to use and easy to maintain. The performance of the system is the solution's most valuable aspect. In combination with the database, it gives perfect results. It's a better system than using other kinds of integrated systems. In general, the ODA control is much simpler to use and offers up the best performance. The performance due to the all-flash of ODA is very nice.We primarily use it for OLTP, which has improved our costs.

Cons
Sometimes the solution works differently between the cloud and on-premises. It needs to be more consistent and predictable.I would like to see an on-premise solution in the future.I would like to see Application Express and Oracle R Enterprise fully supported, and I would like to see Oracle Data Mining supported as a front end.An improvement for us would be the inclusion of support for an internal IP, so we could use it directly with the VCN in Oracle Cloud.

If we were able to use Oracle Database to create mobile apps, that would be great. I don't know multiple languages, like Java, etc. I need to learn a separate language, right now in order to do this.Technical support is not so great. It could be much better. The maintenance, for an enterprise system, isn't so great. It's also extremely expensive. The main thing would be to make ODA more affordable, to make it a more economical machine. Also, I would like to see virtualization, so you could implement all of your functions on one machine. Finally, improvement in the speed and performance would be good.Oracle Database Appliance patching comes out two to three months after the regular patching cycle.
