Pros
"The most valuable features are the reporting and the graphics.""It has a very robust dashboard and ad-hoc reporting.""Calculations are a little bit faster. It can do the on-the-run calculations much better than other reporting platforms. You don't need any other specific tool. You can use Microsoft Office to start doing things with these reports.""It's web-based so that I can have multiple users accessing the same data. It provides ease of use and its formatting means we can use the data, export it to Excel, and we manipulate the data afterward if we need to."

"SAP Process Orchestration has all the features that are necessary.""The monitoring is one of the greatest features in Process Orchestration because it is user-friendly and easy for somebody who is not experienced.""t is a pretty stable solution. I have not seen any outages in the solution.""With the latest version what I find to be the most valuable are the REST, SuccessFactors, and Ariba Network adapters.""It is simple to transfer files.""The initial setup was straightforward.""The solution provides very good and central logging systems. It offers high flexibility with vertical and horizontal extend capacity.""It is strategically focused to forecast a global integration platform for our business."

Cons
"It is very cumbersome and slow for making any changes. It doesn't have that many visuals to show different graphs and charts. It should have more visuals. It also doesn't support HTML5, which is useful for interactive sessions and reporting with dashboard etc. We are phasing it out because we need a newer platform that provides us more flexibility and more designs. Our use case is just to get the utility type of monthly reports, and we need visuals, customizations, columns, and certain sections on the report to show performance and other things. They are not updating their BI Publisher product, which was known as XML Publisher before Oracle bought it. It could be because they don't have that many clients using it. We are using it because we have this solution for years.""The initial setup was difficult because not all the information was included in the implementation model.""The initial setup was complex and it took a lot of time to set up the infrastructure."

"It is scalable, but there can be performance issues with high data volume or traffic, especially during month ends.""The product roadmap suggests it will approach the end of support in several years, and a lot of innovations are now implemented by SAP not in SAP PO, but in SAP Integration Suite, hence, the platform is stable, but doesn't receive a lot of new features in recent updates.""SAP Process Orchestration could improve from an API standpoint. This is not an API management tool, which is one of its drawbacks. However, SAP has released an SAP Cloud Platform Integration which has all of the features, such as API management along with process integration to replace what they had previously.""We encounter challenges while connecting to MQTT and MQDD adapters.""The usability is an area where it can be improved upon.""Process Orchestration needs to provide secure connectivity as no one has any data information.""SAP needs to improve a lot in terms of the orchestration part so that more adapters can be provided to users, which are areas where the solution has downsides.""It would be beneficial to enhance the ease of implementing new projects and improve overall stability in our implementations."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "As with any case study that we’ve ever done, it’s not so much a problem with the application or security or anything of that nature. It’s basically the cost infrastructure. Compared to other solutions, it’s one of the more costly solutions out there. It’s the biggest concern nowadays that upper management has."
  • "It is expensive. It is more than 100K for support. You pay for support on top of the standard licensing, which is on a yearly basis."

  • "Looking at market conditions, vendors nowadays are giving products at very low price levels. However, SAP Process Orchestration have not yet reduced their prices. The prices could be reduced a lot to stay competitive."

    Overview

Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) Applications are complete, prebuilt BI solutions that deliver intuitive, role-based intelligence throughout an organization. These solutions enable organizations to gain more insight and greater value from a range of data sources, including Oracle Fusion Cloud and On-Premise Applications, E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Siebel, and third party systems. Oracle BI Applications are built on the Oracle BI Foundation, a comprehensive and market leading BI platform. This enables organizations to realize the value of a packaged BI application, such as rapid deployment, lower TCO, and built-in best practices, all on one common BI Foundation.

SAP NetWeaver Process Integration facilitates the integration of business processes that span different departments, organizations, or companies. SAP PI is based on general standards so as to enable 3rd-party systems to be integrated. At the center of SAP PI is an XML-based communication that uses HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol). Irrespective of the scenario used, the application-specific contents are transferred in messages in user-defined XML eXtensible Markup Language) from the sender to the receiver either via the Integration Server, or directly between the systems involved. SAP PI can be installed in different ways: Dual usage type installation: Based on both AS ABAP and AS Java. and Advanced Adapter Engine Extended (AEX): Based on AS Java only.
