We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It provides excellent stability.""The primary reason for using OBIEE is connectivity with Oracle E-Business Suite. It makes it easy to connect with our Oracle E-Business Suite. There are the standard dashboards available, which we sometimes use, and now we are looking for customized dashboards.""Inter Process Communication.""The visualization is very good.""I like that Oracle OBIEE comes with more options. For example, more options with data security, user security, and other security. It's more complicated than Microsoft, but it gives you more options. They also added the part for machine learning, which is good.""The most valuable feature of Oracle OBIEE, for me, would be the Web Catalog. From a development perspective, I do not need any client or any software to be installed on my laptop or desktop. Everything is browser-based, so I just open the browser and start development.""The main features of this solution are that it is easy to use, intuitive, and user-friendly. When I retrieve the data from the database it is in a very raw form, then when I use the Oracle Report Builder it has advanced intelligence features to allow me to view and make changes to the data easily.""It is a stable and scalable solution."

"The way Salesforce Einstein Analytics is structured in terms of the work assignments and the user profile is very good.""It is a comprehensive solution. It has everything in it. I can easily find what I need.""Salesforce Einstein Analytics is a simplified CRM. It's integration is good.""he most valuable feature of the solution is its ease of use.""Transparency is the most valuable feature of this solution.""The fact that the solution is visually appealing because of its lightning interfaces can be considered one of its most valuable features""The most valuable feature of Salesforce Einstein Analytics is the reporting tools.""The tool is a cloud-based solution capable of integrating any kind of data in the world."

Cons
"Its functionality is lacking.""Oracle products have a lot of complications...Oracle has a history of not really providing great support.""There could be better integration with other solutions, such as Microsoft Office.""There are times we have slowness when processing the reports with Oracle OBIEE. Improving the performance would be beneficial.""I find I prefer Oracle OAC over OBIEE. It's more advanced, has artificial intelligence, and there's more that we can do with it in general. OBIEE is lacking features.""Oracle OBIEE could improve by having better integration and compatibility with other vendors.""It needs a better security management system.""Oracle OBIEE only displays KPIs, but it does not include strategic objectives or display risk in a strategic map."

"The price of Salesforce Einstein Analytics is quite a bit expensive for the region of Mexico. I think the price of the product could be better.""All of the timesheets and appraisal management I have not been happy with. There should be some improvements. For example, as a management team, our managers do not have access to see a summary report, such as who is on leave today or how many hours each person logged in. You have to get into individual users and see. You cannot see a summary report, the reporting is missing. There should improve the reports.""If I could improve Tableau CRM I would make it as powerful as Tableau. Tableau CRM is more integrated and it's on the web, but it has less functionality. It is lacking functionality at this time.""They have a lot of opportunity to improve BI tools. With Einstein Analytics, we have a very minimal scope.""They can provide more end-user customizations. There should be the possibility for the end-users to change some elements in the interface. I have a way of doing my job. My colleague may have his own way of doing his job. If I ask for a change, it'll change for everyone. It'll be good to have some end-user personalizations. I can't see many in Salesforce right now.""Better pricing would make it available to more users and we would likely use it more broadly within the organization.""If a user leaves your organization, you shouldn't lose the visibility of all of the records.""There are some offerings like Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud that have very useful online learning options. There need to be more avenues for self-learning with this particular solution. That would be useful."

    Reviews from Real Users

Sandeep V., Process System Engineer at a comms service provider, tells us, “This solution is very easy for people who are building ad-hoc things. It's an enterprise solution so it can be deployed for a lot of users. There are some great new features that come with the 12c like data visualization, desktop BI Publisher, automation, and interactive dashboards. The product has good features. “

A user who is a CEO at a consultancy relates, “The most valuable feature is the visualization. The data warehousing, data storage, and data wrangling are all features that are in there, and it's one of the better products out there. A good thing is that for large datasets, it's very stable, especially when you have an Oracle database.”

A user who is a Principal Business Intelligence Architect at a computer software company suggests, "It is very biased towards Oracle infrastructure. One of the major red flags we have at the moment against Oracle is that it doesn't support deployment on other cloud providers. We're quite heavily vested in AWS as our infrastructure, and Oracle is yet to formally support deploying on those virtual infrastructure instances. That's quite disappointing, and it also cuts them out of over 70% of the market."
