"Before implementing Sauce Labs, we tested physical devices that team members had to share. It was more feasible when we were all located in one office, but we couldn't leverage our offshore capacity. With this solution, we can do everything remotely, which is essential now that most of us work from home.""Sauce Labs provides us with more combinations to test, so we can keep adding platforms and devices to our network. That's been a very seamless experience. Let's say there's an iOS or a private device we need. Sauce Labs has helped get all those set up when needed.""There is a huge amount of open source, community provided resources.""It provides zero maintenance browser instances.""APPIUM for mobile testing has improved our organization by allowing us to test our website on more devices and browsers than we currently possess.""The most valuable feature is the cross-browser feature, it has many android and iOS devices both simulators and real devices. It's easy to integrate. I also like video recording too.""One of the most valuable features is that we do not have to have the cross-platform testing vehicles in-house. Sauce Labs gives us the ability to test across platforms and that really helps give us confidence in our products.""Sauce Connect gave us ability to test an application that was hosted locally."

Cons
"The reporting engine of Original Software Qualify AQM needs to change. It's very difficult to develop complex reports. Its reporting function needs improvement."

More Original Software Qualify Cons →

"We have found that during automated testing this can be very slow. This causes inconsistencies with the tests. It's very difficult to rely on a service when you can't be sure if a test will pass or fail the next time it runs. This means building in a lot of sync time into the tests which in turn slows them down. If this speed could be improved then the service would be much better.""Every time that we run scenarios where we need to discover the geolocation of our customers, by default it shows as Palo Alto, California. That's a problem for us and we need a workaround for those cases... It would be helpful if we could enter a latitude and longitude into Sauce Labs configuration and say, "When you run a virtual Chrome device or an iPhone, make this your default location. Then, provide me that device so I can run my scenarios," because we have stores in different regions across the United States.""Sauce Labs needs to be improved in the different platforms for farm testing, like iOS and Android farm testing and farm testing web browsers.""The Jenkins Sauce OnDemand plugin could have more options available to tap into more of the custom capabilities Sauce Labs actually supports.""The real concern is the load time of applications or real devices when we start our tests. It takes some time to load the application or web browser. Sometimes, it is frustrating too. Since they are real devices, we understand it takes some time to load. However, if it were to improve, then that would be a great asset to the solution. So, we would like better responsive times when opening applications and running tests.""An image comparison would be a nice feature to include in the Sauce Labs product.""I may not know what should be improved on the platform, but I think it could offer a greater variety of testing solutions. I know there might be competing solutions that cover more things I'm unaware of, and it could expand a bit more. We've done a lot of automated testing scenarios, and that's all the rage these days, so I think Sauce Labs could look at potential ways to improve and cover other scenarios.""When we were in development, it was a bit of a pain because we have onshore and offshore development. One of our development shops is in India, and we were running tests over there. When some of the users tried to log in, it was slow for them or we didn't have enough licenses. That was during the core development before we even launched."

  • "Try the free trial and work with a Sauce Labs representative to see what package works best for your application(s)."
  • "It could be less like pay-per-use with a lower rate."
  • "Go ahead please. Try it at a smaller scale."
  • "Trial the product and see if it suits your needs."
  • "When you reach the Enterprise licensing tier, base level being with 10 concurrent test sessions, pricing is essentially per-unit-of-concurrency thereafter with a relatively linear increase and not much benefit for "bulk"."

    Overview

A complete platform for application quality management Qualify AQM comes with fully configurable data stores, workflows, electronic signature, security, dashboards, and reporting.

Every member of the quality process from management, through development and QA, to end users can share in the quality process, allowing real-time decision making and driving predictability. Your team can focus on delivery rather than infrastructure and tools.

    Desktop, Tablet & Phone

Qualify is available as a desktop application and as a web application optimized for desktop browsers and tablets. Note that some advanced capabilities are only available in the desktop version.

    Multiple Methodologies

Qualify is shipped with several predefined application models that can be used immediately or tuned to your needs. In addition, you can create your own applications that exactly reflect your processes and storage requirements. You can map agile, waterfall, or hybrid methodologies which can be used concurrently to reflect the needs of legacy and new developments.

    Information Portal

In addition to the data stored within Qualify it can also display and link to data held within point solutions such as Microsoft TFS and JIRA to give a single integrated view of corporate data. That consolidated information can then be analyzed, graphed, and reported.

    Communication Backbone

Qualify allows you to create and manage your quality plans and as importantly acts as the communication backbone letting every team member share in the progress and status. In addition to the on-line access, automatic and manual alerts can be generated which are distributed via email.

    Workflows

It is essential that key steps in your quality processes are controlled and can only be passed by the appropriate users. Qualify provides all this and more, enabling rules to be set as to the critical data that must be stored at each step in the process combined with a complete audit trail.

    Resource Management

Planning your medium and short-term resourcing needs can be complex but Qualify provides a powerful view of your work in progress, (optionally including time-sheet data), allocated tasks, and forward projects – highlighting areas of potential contention and endangered dead-lines so that you can balance and re-assign your resources as needed.

    Totally Configurable

Qualify comes with a number of pre-defined application models that can be used immediately or tuned to your needs. In addition, you can create your own applications that exactly reflect your processes and storage requirements. Map agile, waterfall or hybrid methodologies which can be used concurrently to reflect the needs of legacy and new developments.

    Full Security

A role-based security model is a fundamental part of Qualify with a full range of accumulated permissions. Integration with LDAP is fully supported so existing user data can be simply extended.

    Easy Data Import

For customers moving to Qualify from spreadsheets and documents or legacy test management products such as QC/ALM, we provide a powerful data import capability that minimizes the data conversion process.

    Reviews from Real Users

Sauce Labs is a solution that stands out when compared to many of its competitors. It has valuable features that include error logging, helpful dashboards, and its browser.

Joel A., Product Manager - Data & APIs at a marketing services firm, says, "The error logging is very robust. If we run a test through Sauce Labs and there's some sort of issue, a log will appear on the screen. Log messages are usually heinous and horrible... Sauce Labs is incredibly good at saying things like, 'Hey, here is the exact issue. Fix this and you can run the test.' That helps in getting things up and running and executing the way they should."

Savio D., Sr. IT Architect at a healthcare company, mentions, "Sauce Labs' dashboards contain multiple useful metrics in one place. Everything is represented to us visually on the dashboard, which helps us understand where to focus our attention, what the issues are, and what we need to resolve."

PeerSpot reviewer, Rob L., Director of Quality Assurance - Shared Service at a financial services firm, writes, “The most valuable feature for us is the browser. The most critical thing is that this software aligns with our Agile and DevOps way of doing things. It integrates with kickoff scripts through DevOps.”
