"The stability of the solution is excellent, as it is with other Fortinet products."
"The product offers very good security."
"The product is easy to use and is stable. The SV1 functionality is a benefit."
"The fact that the Next-Gen firewalls are integrated with identity is the best. It gives us the ability to track what an individual is doing and helps us provide access to only what they need in order to do their job."
"It worked fine normally."
"URL filtering and WildFire features are most valuable. It is very user-friendly. It is a very solid product, and it definitely works."
"The strengths of Palo Alto Networks NG Firewalls are application visibility and application awareness. Their strong point is identifying applications for traffic. So all of the policies that are configured are related to the application and not to a port."
"The most valuable aspect of this solution is pre-sales and post-sales because of the support and relationship building."
"It's a next-generation firewall and it's pretty stable. You don't have to worry about if you restart it for some maintenance. It will just come back."
"With its single pane of glass, it makes monitoring and troubleshooting a bit more homogeneous. We are not looking at multiple platforms and monitoring management tools. It is more efficient from that perspective. It is more of a common monitoring and control system for multiple aspects of what used to be different systems. It provides efficiency and time savings."
"We have found the DPI ability to understand web applications and build access rules on web application categories first to be a great feature."
"The data loss prevention feature is the most valuable. It stops our users from inadvertently leaking our customers' data to the Internet or anywhere else it shouldn't go."
"There is no lag in service when accessing the internet."
"Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine and a half out of ten...The setup phase was easy."
"The initial setup is very straightforward."
"It is easy to set up the solution."
"We don't have to buy equipment to use it. And when our engineers set it up on our side, we just configured a few settings and we were in."
"The protection is most valuable."
"Overall, we're very happy with our product."
"The support team for Fortinet FortiGate needs to be more customer friendly."
"I feel that the reporting needs to be improved."
"We had a minor problem where there was a major system upgrade on the hardware platfrom and the Mac client was not available as soon as it might have been. The PC client was available immediately, but we had to wait a month or so, before there was a mac client. I was slightly irritated that it was not ready on time, but it was eventually resolved."
"They need faster serviceability and more security features."
"If they could extend their fabric towards other vendor environments for integration, that would be great."
"NGN, reporting and controls."
"The cloud management and automation capability could be improved."
"Scalability for Fortinet FortiGate needs to be improved. SD-WAN security for this solution also needs some improvement."
"Generating reports is not so easy."
"Palo Alto Networks NG Firewalls do not provide a unified platform that natively integrates all security capabilities."
"The user interface is probably not as slick as it could be."
"The bugs can be improved."
"We have a lot of the older firewall models, i.e., the PA-220. It seems that with newer operating systems the PA-220 is becoming slower than when I first bought it. It is not really an issue for users who are passing traffic through the firewall, but more from the management access of it."
"As part of our internet filtering, we integrate heavily with Active Directory, and we use security groups to separate staff into two groups: those who should have full access to the internet and those who should have limited access. It may be just the way the topology is for our domain controllers and that infrastructure, but at peak usage, there seems to be a delay in reading back against the security group to find out what group the user is in."
"In my opinion, the training provided is satisfactory, but there is certainly room for improvement. It would be great to have more comprehensive training at a lower cost, or even for free."
"Need improvement with their logs, especially the command line interface."
"Technical support could be better."
"We'd like to have more plugins and integration."
"If they can also integrate with the multi-factor authentication to prompt users to do another, second-factor authentication, that would be ideal."
"In terms of usage, here in the GCC, it's still growing a growing market, so the combination of DLP, data leak prevention, to a certain extent is fine. But what it requires is user-based access or role-based access. The solution needs to grow into that, which definitely takes time. There's not an easy way to integrate it, when you have a cloud-based solution."
"They could provide more time for the onboarding the training of an IT person."
"Zscaler Internet Access's troubleshooting is very limited, and their textbook logs need to be more informative."
"I would like to see more training and video documentation."
"It also needs better integration with other applications as well. There are some restrictions."
