We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
Being able to use a Java-based solution makes the product flexible. The interface and the number of connectors that they provide are the most valuable features. The support here, it's kind of okay. But the main thing is with the number of connectors and the UI, the user interface. It has an open BPMIt allows me to present or to demonstrate the business process flow, visually, without having to resort to PowerPoint, Visio, or other products. The speed and execution of DMN was a big selling point for us. It's very good at conducting business processes that are easily modeled and presented in a way that's easy to understand. The solution is easily compatible with HTML forms and HTML language programming and that is the most significant part. When I compare it with other BPM tools, like IBM, it is great, open source, and free when you use the community version. The most valuable feature is the ability to share the logic within the rules engine with the business, so you can put it up for everybody to read.

The workflow designing and integration are the most valuable features. Also, the UI design was pretty easy. The solution's case management is its most valuable aspect. The most valuable feature is flexibility, as we can configure it to best suit our requirements. The solution offers excellent workflows. The solution provides us with a very good dashboard. The most valuable aspect of the solution is the various workflows. The most valuable feature is the situational layer cake.It is easy to use, easy to understand, easy to implement and easy to enhance and we can do it as a Cloud. Also it is very user friendly.

The pre-configured CRM functionalities regarding the accounts management and contact activities is very good. It's easy to develop workflows. The business process management is definitely the most valuable feature. What Creatio ended up doing with their software solution is giving you the power, in your own hands, in a way that is incredibly intuitive and well-structured.

Cons
The solution could use some enhancements like adding connectors, improving forms and having a mobile app, but everything is an enhancement rather than a flaw. The support definitely can be improved. Apart from that, the language should be extendable to other platforms. If I want to write, I'll run a different platform, like Python code on top of it, or COBOL code on top of it, and it should support those languages.Lacking in forms visualization. If there were some industry templates it would have helped significantly, because it is similar to a process map for a domain. That is what we are currently creating, a domain-relevant process map.Especially when you use the open-source version, there are issues with performance.I would also like a very easy to use form builder.I would like to have a feature for audit logging, audit logs and audit log management. And some history of use for the audit logs.I would like to see the forms engine available in the open-source version of this solution.

It's called a local platform but on the other hand, it needs a lot of experience. It's not all that easy to click and plug and play. If you really want to use all the features out of this platform, you definitely need a lot of experience and a lot of training to get there. They are currently spending some time on improving the product with respect to machine learning, especially related to robotic automation. They probably could be a little more adept on that area would help.It is not fully compatible with all versions of Internet Explorer, so sometimes, it does not work. There are some UX shortcomings within the solution. However, it's my understanding that they have addressed them and in the next three months they will come out with a new updated version. They will be moving away from HTML5.From a technical point of view, it would be helpful to have some advanced analytics to help with configuration. We have a lot of unwanted features and it would be good to configure it more appropriately so that we are using just exactly what we need.We need more light retail BPM tools within the Pega system. However, Pega is mostly for big companies.Compared to other BPM products, the interface is somewhat complex, so the usability could be improved.Sometimes when we are patching some data from the database, we are getting added as a timeout.

The mobile version of the solution could be improved. It's hard to customize it.The way bpm's infrastructure works, you can only have one data source on a page. It has to be connected to the object and you're pretty much locked in at that point... If you want to connect anything other than what exists in that object to that object, you're going to have to create a completely new home for it in that object.

Pricing and Cost Advice
The open-source version of the product is free to use.I use the open-source free version.Camunda is much cheaper. We are using the open-source version of this solution. It is less cost-prohibitive than other solutions on the market. This solution was in our price range.

The pricing is pretty good, compared to other similar products. The price of this solution, including installation and configuration, is comparable to competing vendors.May be somewhat more expensive than other solutions initially, but should have enhanced return on investment. The licensing fees are based on the number of users.

From my standpoint, it blows out of the water all the other competitors out there that we were potentially looking at, and it was in a reasonable price range, whereas you have these other Fortune 500 companies that were asking for a ridiculous amount.
