We performed a comparison between Microsoft Power Automate and Pega Robotic Process Automation based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The most valuable feature of Microsoft Power Automate is the many functionalities, and ease of use. We had summer interns from college in their second year of engineering and they were able to start the building process quickly within a day."
"WinAutomation is very handy to use, and it has the power to interact with multiple systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or .NET systems."
"It is a low-code platform. It is easy to use and good for automating small tasks such as expense approvals, timesheet approvals, etc."
"Microsoft Power Automate offers over 200 connectors that enhance the user experience."
"It makes work easier."
"The initial setup is pretty straightforward."
"With the desktop version, we can automate many things. The ability to do a lot of things is one of the most valuable features."
"To me, what's most useful in WinAutomation by Softomotive is that it's quite intuitive, especially because most of the capabilities of the older WinAutomation remain. You also don't need to do or know hard coding, and this is another useful feature of the solution. I also like that WinAutomation by Softomotive integrates very well with Microsoft products, especially Microsoft Office, and this is great news because most companies use Microsoft Office. Having a very good integration with the Microsoft Office suite covers a lot of bases, and is one of the advantages of WinAutomation by Softomotive."
"Pega is also broadening its landscape by building on top of PRPC (CRM, EPC, etc.), and with a cloud offering available, it is a genuine contender to compete with Salesforce."
"The solution's ability to create adapters quickly is its most valuable feature."
"I am impressed with the tool's recording feature."
"Pega is very mature. It's very old. They have grown with time, and they have learned. Other robotic process automation solutions are basically focused on only doing the automation, whereas Pega also gives you a workflow system so that you can create a workflow."
"User-friendly, easy to understand and has many features including the ability to track."
"If you want to make any kind of base automation, you can easily code exactly what you want."
"The initial setup is pretty easy and quite fast."
"It is really flexible in what it can do."
"The solution is still maturing, and it's going to take time for that to happen."
"I think the language Microsoft Power Automate uses when you do expressions could be better. What they use is not a popular programming language. It would be better for Microsoft to find a more popular programming language, such as Python. It would take away the whole no-code aspect of the solution but you don't need to write that many lines of code to improve something in a process. Instead of no-code, they could be a low-code environment."
"It's not as user-friendly as a solution such as UiPath, which is really easy to use."
"Any task that is automated needs to be very simple. This tool does not seem to handle complicated tasks very well."
"It would be great if it was able to integrate more with various other platforms. It would make development easier."
"Things need to be improved with respect to RPA kinds of solutions."
"Better support is needed for building custom components on top of ProcessRobot."
"If someone was just about to start using it, it would be better if it was a bit more user-friendly in terms of understanding function references. I come from a bit of development background. To me, it all makes quite a lot of sense, but someone using it for the first time would probably battle understanding how the functions work. This might be something they could improve on. It would be really useful if it could publish data to Power BI. We like to use Power BI for our reporting, but we can't directly integrate the data across. If there was a way to automate the collection of the data and push it straight into the Power BI platform, it would be quite useful."
"The development experience needs to be improved."
"Rule versioning and deployment to enable parallel development could still be improved"
"I have faced many scenarios in the business workflow, where a few applications run on the Citrix environment. That could be a critical part of the process without which business won't be able to accept the automation solution. Because of one small bottleneck, you will lose a very good candidate for process automation."
"It's difficult not knowing when alerts will arrive."
"The way integration classes are created could be improved."
"You cannot use a two-dimensional array to read the data."
"The OCR capabilities of the solution could be improved."
"I would like to see an enhanced auditing feature included."
