We performed a comparison between Prisma Cloud by Palo Alto Networks and Tufin Orchestration Suite based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Container Security solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The two most valuable features are container security and the capability to discover workloads."
"The most valuable feature of Prisma Cloud is WAF (web application firewall)."
"Prisma scans things and shows all the vulnerabilities and packages that are vulnerable, and which layers, by default, have vulnerabilities. So developers can easily go into the package or a particular layer and make changes to their code. It's very transparent."
"It provides good visibility and control regardless of the complexity."
"Prisma Access provides comprehensive security. It provides URL filtering, application control, SSL, DLP, etc. It provides complete security for the cloud environment."
"The application visibility is amazing. For example, sometimes we don't know what a particular custom port is for and what is running on it. The visibility enables us to identify applications, what the protocol is, and what service is behind it. Within Azure, it is doing a great job of providing visibility. We know exactly what is passing through our network. If there is an issue of any sort we are able to quickly detect it and fix the problem."
"I like Prisma's ability to integrate with other tools. We can integrate it with Jira so that when Prisma triggers an alert, it opens a ticket in Jira. That was a big selling point for the product. There's a feature called the guest custom template that allows you to trigger alerts in Jira based on the template. That can also be added as a feature on Jira."
"Prisma Cloud's most important feature is its auto-remediation."
"The Topology Map, which feeds into our SecureChange - the latter being an automation platform - there's a lot of synergy between the two."
"It is a great solution. If you have all the devices and firewalls in place, the amount of details that you get along with the network topology is very good."
"The initial setup was straightforward."
"The visibility is huge. In order to figure out what was going on previously, we would have to pull stuff out of firewalls and put them in spreadsheets, then do sorts. Now, it's all right there in Tufin. We can write reports to look for what we need, ad hoc searches to find object groups, and know which firewalls are on. This was almost impossible to do previously."
"I like the fact that Tufin was able to integrate with our firewalls, which include Palo Alto and FortiGate."
"This solution has helped our clients because it allows them to leverage the tools so that they can actually reduce their overall expenses for the environment."
"The most valuable features are the Security Risks and Best Practices reporting/Rule base cleanup."
"We use it to clean up our firewall policies, which gives us better security policy and less junk on the firewalls."
"The dashboard can be created at the user level instead of the cloud account level, which will help save time."
"While the code security feature has undergone recent enhancements, there is room for improvement in terms of its cost module."
"When there are updates, whether daily, weekly, or monthly, it needs configuration or permission adjustments. There is no automation for that, which is too bad."
"This solution is more AWS and Azure-centric. It needs to be more specific on the GCP side, which they are working on."
"We would like to have the detections be more contemporaneous. For example, we've seen detections of an overprivileged user or whatever it might be in any of the hundreds of Prisma policies, where there are 50 minutes of latency between the event and the alert."
"They could improve more features for the enterprise version of the solution."
"Sometimes, when you assign subnets to regions, the IP address will jump from one location to another because it will automatically change substantially. Then, we need to add those IP subnets to our firewall for existing access. The need to update those subnets potentially causes maintenance or access issues. So far, we can only provide bigger customers with six subnets, and a small company may not be able to access those services."
"Areas like the deployment of their defenders and their central control need manual intervention. They should focus more on automation. They have a very generic case for small companies. However, for bigger companies to work, we have to do a lot of changes to our system to accommodate it. Therefore, they should change their system or deployment models so it can be easy to integrate into existing architectures."
"It needs better reporting with more graphics and more pie charts, so management can understand details. The reports that are done now are full of data and management would like to have an image to help understand, right away, what the reports are saying."
"There were some hiccups here and there with the initial setup."
"I would like to see visibility into the FW features like IPS/Content Filter policies, the same way it does for FW rules/policies."
"The documentation site is horrible as well. It has a tree structure, and you really get lost quite easily."
"In the next release I would like to see better migration in the Cloud because that will allow more visibility in the network."
"I would also like to see them do more cloud integration within the Tufin Orchestration Suite, not within a SaaS solution."
"The change impact analysis doesn't even get close to actually solving our problems. I am not impressed with it."
"It could be a little more intuitive."
