We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"Allowing the users to be able to take snapshots and create their own story without ever leaving the application is a very good feature.""The most valuable feature is the drag-and-drop reporting.""Qlik Sense makes it very easy to build interactive presentations for meetings.""The most valuable feature is the interface for the end-user.""The most valuable feature is the user experience.""The most valuable feature is flexibility.""The associative searching and filtering capability is a unique feature among other BI tools, and one does not need to deeply understand the underlying data.""Obviously and considering that Qlik Sense is a data visualization application, the most attractive feature is the fast handling of large amounts of data and the attractive visualization of the same."

"Ask Zia is a great feature that I use to quickly decide what improvements I need to make in order to present the data that I want to show.""We really like that it's user friendly and has a lot of combinations and charts. They're good compared to other tools. We used a free Elastic product, comparatively, this solution is good because of their support, UI, and connecting to databases is very easy.""Zoho Analytics is the best software for giving reports to customers and we can create any report that is required."

Cons
"Some of the charts are still a bit basic and screen rendering on different sized monitors can be an issue.""Report generation without the need for NPrinting, which has limited capabilities anyway, would be an improvement.""It would be nice to have more native features from QlikView built into Qlik Sense.""We want the next version of this solution to be cloud-based so that each user can access it from anywhere in the world with their phone, tablet, or computer without a VPN connection.""I would like to have the ability to better customize the visuals including changing fonts, sizing, colors, axes, and titles.""Performing data transformations required a lot of programming, which is something that should be made easier.""There is an inability to effectively manage (pre)caching (scheduling, assigning for respective user groups, etc), especially without community extensions or uour own development.""Even though a huge set of learning material is available, anyone starting his/her journey on learning the software doesn't even know where to start it. The so-called Continous Classroom service is not cheap, but there are many free tutorials, they are not sorted or enlisted adequately though."

"There should be more types of graphics available for use in the reports.""In terms of improvement, they have a limited number of graphs available in their store. They should come up with more graph style forms. They should have more charts and at the same time, you can't create panels like with Microsoft BA.""This solution does not support manufacturing facilities."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"The license mechanism of Qlik is quite complicated and not exchangeable. Such as 2016, they charge licenses by token, 1500$ for a token / 1 user. 2018: they change to 2 kinds of licenses: professional 1500$ / user, analyzer 800$ / user. 2019: they support subscription with 70$ Monthly for professional, 40$ monthly for analyzers, but for those you’re using perpetual licenses, they don't support acquiring more subscription licenses. The maintenance fee yearly are also high, 20% of the perpetual license.""For on-premise enterprise users, a number of additional features come at a premium cost."
