We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
I am impressed by the service desk ticketing and asset management. The most valuable feature is the ability to have an overview of all devices that are accessing our environment. This product made the job easy to do without having to go put hands on the machines. The ability to push an image to a machine, wake that image up, and just blast a new image to a computer without even having to touch it, and then push the software to that machine. This just made things so much more convenient for us and so much more efficient.

The most valuable feature is the scalability. The product is useful for patch management. The initial setup is straightforward and not too complicated.Microsoft is being very competitive right now, and they are really investing in a lot of new features to be more competitive in the marketplace.Patching is the main feature because SCCM is made to control the entire environment without manually interpreting. So it is good to use for patching. The most valuable features are application deployment and task-sequenced imaging. The most valuable features are Remote Connect, SUP, Cloud functionality, Report, Query, and third-party patching. This solution has made life easy with respect to patching, compliance, and OSD.

Cons
I've had some issues with patch catalogue.I think it should have the ability to have the applications automatically update. It would be really helpful if this would override what the user might choose to do.The only hiccups we had were some power issues, where the box was a little under-powered early on.Imaging becomes a problem when you start to try to go beyond doing more than thirty or forty machines at a time. We initially tried to do that virtually and it just, it wouldn't work.

The deployment process is lengthy and should be quicker to complete.Microsoft should extend support for additional platforms. With Microsoft Premier Support, you get what you pay for. There's Third Tier Support that you pay for. If you pay for that, you get excellent support, and if you don't pay for that, then you get the less experienced staff. We'd like the solution to make it easier to manage remote users. The main room for improvement is the on-screen display. I think it would be good if some improvements were made. The operations could be faster and you need some patience with this tool. The cost of the product can be improved. This solution needs to be supported on all Operating systems.

Pricing and Cost Advice
It was a very attractive price. This is a huge feature of this product. If you would "credit score" this product versus others out there on the market, this one has a very attractive price. It may be more expensive, but you get what you pay for.

The licensing is good because they have various options, depending on what you are looking for.SCCM comes with its own version of SQL Server. If you use that SQL Server with SCCM and don't use it for another applications than you get an SQL Server for free.Overall, I think it's fine. It's pretty much in-line because there are ways to offset it with the Office 365 licensing.
