Most Helpful Review
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:
The "set it and forget it" approach of Quorum is huge, as far as time savings go. And the fact that the Quorum validates the data that's backed means I don't have that mystery of what's sitting on the tape. Every backup is validated. I know that I have good, recoverable data at all times.
Every server that gets backed up every night, the data is tested, the VM is created, and it's ready to go. You know it, you've got a green light, that thing is ready to go. When it comes to recovery time objectives, RTOs, most people offer you an SLA in the two- to four-hour range or more, and the Quorum is minutes. Nobody can touch that. That's absolutely huge.
The most valuable feature of this solution is the replication functionality.
The setup is very simple. It takes 15 minutes.
Backup and replication are the most valuable features.
It is easy to use and easy to recover files.
Veeam makes modular solutions, so you can install Veeam Backup for Office 365 and Veeam Backup and Replication in one single server. You can do an all in one installation, and roll it out.
I have used the technical support a few times and they've been reasonably helpful.
This is an easy-to-install easy-to-use solution for backing up Office 365 email.
The solution is easy to use. It's very simple and clients find it very easy to find all objects and things they need with the Veeam Explorer.
We tend to run a broad generational range of server OS's. We have everything from Windows 2003 to 2016 in production. The only thing that I've ever found fault with is that they have phased out support for 2003 Servers. In our case, we have quite a few of those in production.
They need more documentation, awareness, and assistance.
It needs to be able to integrate with other emailing systems, like Linux.
In the next release, it should have direct export to tape drive abilities and NDMP support.
Technical support could be improved.
The capacity storage is a challenge everywhere in the backup industry. The general feedback people are coming back to about this is that there is no deduplication based on it.
It would be a great improvement to be able to recover cover a VM straight to on-prem.
While there really is nothing wrong with the product some small improvements in the interface could make it even easier to use.
The solution announced many features two years ago, and they still have not happened, so I would hope that the next release has these ready to go.
Pricing and Cost Advice
The licensing is based on how many nodes I want to be able to run as a virtualized recovery.
The cost is a bit on the high side.
I'm not sure about the price, but I think it could be lower.
The pricing is middle-of-the-road compared with competing products.
I think it's a fair price. It's around $36 per user, so I think it's a fair price for our customers.
