Quotes From Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"In general, the solution is very flexible and can be configured in multiple ways.""The performance management system is really good.""It is a good product, and it is suitable for different client requirements. It has customization options and flexibility. You can customize a report or configure the workflow based on your requirements. Everything is there in the product, and you can customize it as per your requirement. Our clients found the automation of the payroll, leave attendance, and onboarding modules the most valuable. The Time and Attendance module is fully integrated with this solution and supports multiple data entry modes, such as barcode, biometric device, fingerprints, and face reading. Its core HR module includes features like movement, expense management, exit, and separation. The compensation and benefits module includes features like welfare, retirement, and superannuation. It also has analytical tools. You can create a real-time report based on your requirements. You can also publish that report in different formats, such as Excel, PDF, HTML, etc. It has a chatbot feature, which is using machine learning and natural language. You can ask questions about your leave balance, attendance, or things like that, and you will get an immediate reply from the chatbot. It also supports approval through email."

"We have fewer systems, less manual data entry, and less processing.""Performance and good usability are the two most valuable features of this solution.""The solution is extremely stable.""It's actually a cloud-native solution and based on the community for development. It is a very good open architecture and able to interconnect with other systems. And it is very stable and very fast in terms of response.""This product is leaps and bounds above the competition. Part of the reason is that it is built with modern technology. It has no legacy coding in it at all.""The user interface is good and very easy to use.""The platform itself is very robust and I generally like the reporting and analytics capability.""It's intuitive, a very usable tool and it's easy to find the data you're looking for."

Cons
"The mobile app and web page user experience could be more user friendly.""The product itself sometimes feels inconsistent because it comes with bugs.""They can improve the configuration time because it takes more time than other products to configure the system. It could be because they are managing this single product for all countries, but it would be good if they improve the implementation time because we need to implement the solutions within a timeline. They should provide some kind of auto-configuration so that the system can be configured and implemented within a certain timeline. Implementors should have a provision to configure the system in a short time. There should also be an option to move the setup or configuration from staging to production to save time. These types of automation should be there."

More Ramco HCM Cons »

"There is a lot of complexity in the configuration of this solution.""It has missing functionalities. Specific countries, like Germany, didn't have the option to do payroll. Now we need to look for another product for HR.""Setting up reports can be a bit tricky.""Reporting systems should be improved. If you want to report it on paper, if you want something more BI oriented, more high level predictive or more data-driven, it should be improved.""It is good that much of the development is based on community input but often that can lead to details being ignored and small, nagging issues are ignored.""The security console should be made less complex.""The UI, UX (user experience) is very bad. It is not very interactive.""It's possible that the way things are integrated could be improved"

Pricing and Cost Advice
"Their customized solution is pretty expensive but much cheaper than its competitors.""I am not aware of the price because I was working in the implementation team, but pricing is generally based on the requirement, modules, headcount, and country."

"Workday is an expensive solution.""You have the license fee per module, and then you have a kind of annual training fee, which is a kind of add-on. I wouldn't say it is exhaustive; it is minor. Licensing is pretty transparent for most of the part.""The pricing is good from an HR perspective, although management gets upset after spending $500,000 a year, every year.""Its price is pretty high. It is more expensive than what is offered by other competitors in the market."
