We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The support response time and the freedom from strange bugs and strange things happening in the software are valuable.""Omada's onboarding features reflect our processes for onboarding new employees well. That is the primary reason we use this solution. We use role-based access control. I'm not sure how much it has improved our security posture, but it's made managing identities more convenient.""It has a lot of out-of-the-box features. It is flexible, and there are a lot of possibilities to configure and extend it. It is user-friendly. It has an interface that is end-user or business-user friendly.""Omada's best feature is creating accounts, automatically assigning permissions, and distributing resources based on assignment policies.""Omada offers a technical solution that addresses both our needs.""The thing that I find most valuable is that Omada consists of building blocks, which means that you can configure almost anything you want without using custom code, making it pretty easy to do. It's possible to connect to multiple target systems and to create one role that consists of different permissions in the different target systems. So one role in Omada can make sure that you have an account in three different systems.""The most valuable feature is the automatic provisioning and reconciliation of things like the Active Directory groups and memberships.""The most valuable feature for us is the ability to set up connectors to various IT systems and offer a wide range of supported connectors."

"We have found the implementation process to be very easy.""The workflow in Saviynt is easier compared to other tools. It's pretty straightforward.""The repository has many features where you can define primary and secondary owners.""This product works well out of the box and if you don’t want to do a lot of configuration then this is the best tool.""One of the tool's advantages is its user-friendly interface, making it easier to manipulate from a GUI perspective. The graphical user interface for users and administrators is straightforward. While it may require more configuration initially, once set up, it becomes more accessible and easier to use.""The most valuable features of Saviynt are database utility and report generation. These two features have a major impact, particularly when you are trying to create a report because, in other systems, you need to use a third-party utility such as a BI tool or any other reporting tool to fetch the data and send out the report to a third party team. In Saviynt, it's a system within a system, so you don't have to use any third-party tool because you can directly do your query and write that code on Saviynt and then send that report to the team.""Saviynt provides built-in access recommendations, while SailPoint IdentityNow offers access recommendations through a separate AI integration that requires additional licensing. Saviynt functions as a unified platform for various business operations, consolidating user and access data from multiple sources into a single platform. This allows for leveraging the same user base and data across different business functions, including access governance, privileged access management, data access governance, and third-party access governance. In contrast, SailPoint is a decoupled tool, requiring separate integration for managing access and permissions, especially for unstructured data. Saviynt's approach is more integrated and streamlined, providing a unified platform for access recommendations and various business operations.""It's easy to manage and easy to use; a simple tool for end-users."

"SNYPR has a bundle of features. It has the UEBA feature that tells you about the behavior of a person or entity. In the tool itself, there is an incident management feature, which is definitely valuable.""Risk scoring was nice. We could exactly see which user had the highest risk score, and then we could pick it up and work on it.""I was looking for software as a service rather than having issues with managing hardware, upgrades, updates. I was trying to step away from that. Those were the key factors when looking at Securonix as a full-feature SIEM with next-generation capabilities available.""I rate the technical support a nine out of ten. They're friendly. Whenever we have a P1 issue, we write an email and our issue is resolved in one or two hours.""The detection of threats and reduction of false positive alarms as compared to other solutions are valuable features. It has improved threat detection response and reduced a lot of noise from false positives as compared to our previous SIEM solutions.""The two major features of this product we extensively use are the UEBA capability and the multi-tenant approach with the centralized data logs system. Customers are very happy with these features.""[The solution has] incident-management or case-management functionality. If someone were to download a high number and we decided we needed to investigate it, I could open a case right in the tool. It would be able to directly reference the data that they downloaded and we could open and shut the case directly in the tool, as well as report from it.""Its console is very easy to use and configure. It is very intuitive for our use cases. App integrations are also pretty nice."

Cons
"We are trying to use Omada's standards and to adapt our processes. But we have had some trouble with the bad documentation. This is something that they could improve on. It has not been possible for us to analyze some of the problems so far, based on the documentation. We always need consultants. The documentation should include some implementation hints and some guidelines for implementing the processes.""I would like to search on date fields, which is not possible now.""The security permission inside Omada needs improvement. It's tricky to set up.""Omada Identity has a steep learning curve.""Its flexibility is both a good thing and a bad thing. Because it is very flexible, it also becomes too complex. This is common for most of the products we evaluated. Its scalability should be better. It had a few scalability issues.""The solution should be made more agile for customers to own or configure.""What I would most like to see added to the product is role management, especially enterprise or business role management, and the processes around that.""If you find an error and you need it fixed, you have to upgrade. It's not like they say, "Okay, we'll fix this problem for you." You have to upgrade. The last time we upgraded, because there was an error in a previous version, we had to pay 150,000 Danish Krone (about $24,000 at the time of this review) to upgrade our systems... That means that we have to pay to get errors fixed that Omada has made in programming the system. I hope they change this way of looking at things."

"The configuration process at the beginning can be difficult, depending on the complexity of the company.""According to feedback I've received, some users prefer SailPoint over Saviynt in real complex environments. SailPoint has its provisioning platform. Complex integrations may pose challenges in scenarios like a large bank with thousands of users, making SailPoint a preferred choice for some.""The product's stability is not easy to maintain.""An area for improvement in Saviynt is that there's a limitation on the number of logs you can get from the past twenty-four hours. For example, if the data is huge, the tool can only give you a maximum of one hundred logs. You can't get any further than that. In the next version of Saviynt, however, you can get more logs and you'll see them inside the log rotation. For example, when you're trying to search inside the log, you can select a date range, and then you can search for a particular log. We haven't used that new log rotation feature yet, but it's included in the next release of Saviynt. Another area for improvement in the tool is that it doesn't have a server monitoring feature, so if your server has a high load, it should give you a warning. You're supposed to get an alert similar to what's being done in WebLogic. In WebLogic, we had a separate facility, but in Saviynt, that feature's missing.""We sometimes experience performance issues when the solution fails to process the data between two different applications.""The tool is difficult to migrate.""It is time-consuming to troubleshoot issues.""It should support more customizations. In SailPoint, we can do many customizations, but we are not able to do that in Saviynt. For workflows and other things, we can only use what is already in place. Saviynt has a lot of scope for improvement on the customization part."

More Saviynt Cons →

"There is slight room for improvement in terms of the initial deployment. What I see is that Securonix is more focused on their product. They are expanding, in a big way, the number of customers. So there has to be a number of dedicated teams to jump on and speed up the deployment process.""When they did upgrades or applied patches, sometimes, there was downtime, which required the backfill of data. There were times when we had to reach out and get a lot of things validated.""We have compliance needs. We have investigation needs. And we have situations where an analyst needs to look at threats. These three things require a different view of how they look at the threats. What would be good is to have Securonix create three different views of their Security Command Center so that, depending on the persona of the person logging in, they'd get the relevant data they need and not see everything.""The solution could provide more automation.""We would like to see better integration with other products.""Sometimes, there is instability in the data in terms of the customization of the time. I have sometimes observed discrepancies in the data, which is something they should work on. They should bring more stability to time customization. If we are seeing a particular data, when we change the time zone, there should be the same data. There should not be any discrepancy.""Securonix implements risk scores based on different policies that are triggered. We've seen some challenges with the risk scores and how they trigger. These are things that Securonix has recognized and they've been working with us to help improve things.""One aspect that could be improved is the pricing of the product in Brazil."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing is too high for SMBs."
  • "Omada continues to be very competitive on pricing, especially on the Omada cloud product."
  • "The initial total cost of ownership to implement Omada Identity is not small. The TCO for the implementation is as high as any other solution. However, the cost of maintaining the solution is at par or lower than competitors, including adding more features or maintaining the system after the initial deployment or installation to make sure that they are available for users to use or extending the functionalities of those activities. Those maintenance costs are lower than other vendors, but the initial cost of getting the system installed is still high."
  • "It is licensed per managed user per year."
  • "There were a lot of administrator, partner, and supplier accounts for people who were no longer working for us but still in the system. So, we reduced the number of users no longer with the company, which saved us some money on licensing."
  • "It's a fair price for the on-premises system. Compared with what we had before, it's much cheaper and we get all the modules in one. We tried to go with the cloud, but it was far too expensive."
  • "From an on-prem point of view, the cost is quite transparent and reasonable. The direct cost is primarily for licenses and maintenance on licenses."
  • "My client deals directly with the Omada Identity team in terms of licensing. I never look at pricing, so I'm not aware of how much the solution costs, but it's worth the money. Often, when you begin to use Omada Identity and it takes a while to set up, it'll be irreversible, and you'd depend on and focus more on the functionality of the solution, rather than its price tag."

  • "If you need to make any changes then there are additional fees."
  • "The price of the license for this product is quite expensive."
  • "We are not into the licensing part. The clients take care of the licensing part."
  • "Saviynt's pricing is acceptable and licensing costs are yearly."
  • "The product is less expensive than one of the competitors."
  • "Saviynt has a competitive price."
  • "If you are investing in securing your data and avoiding any non-compliance issues, then yes, it is certainly recommended. To put it plainly, if you're willing to pay fines and aren't concerned about the misuse of data, then there might not be a problem. However, if you intend to safeguard the data of your employees, vendors, and customers, it becomes crucial. In this context, managing data security requires preventive and detective measures, such as enforcing segregation of duties and regularly reviewing permissions. Throughout an individual's life cycle within an organization or customer life cycle, various access permissions are granted. Without taking action on these permissions, there is a risk of exposure later on. If individuals retain access after leaving the organization, it poses a serious security threat. Implementing solutions like Saviynt can address these challenges, ensuring continuous access review, generating reports, alerts, and identifying potential risks."
  • "Saviynt's pricing is reasonable."
  • More Saviynt Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "We have an annual license. We pay $200,000 for the base licensing and we pay another $50,000 for the software as a service."
  • "A good thing about Securonix is that they don't charge by volume of data or number of devices... They charge by the number of employees, which is a much more predictable number for me, versus data. Our costs are in the $100,000 range over a three-year subscription."
  • "We have a license from our 5.0, so that license just continued. We paid them the extra cloud-hosting costs for a year which were about $300,000."
  • "We went in on a three-year agreement which has an annual licensing fee, based upon the number of people that we're monitoring. There have not been any additional costs to the standard licensing fees."
  • "I had heard that it was much cheaper than Splunk and some of the other tools, and they gave us a nice package with support. They accommodated the number of users and support very well."
  • "Its pricing is quite similar to others and is very competitive. The other solutions have different types of licensing, but when you do the math, it is competitive."
  • "Its price is fine. We found it to be cheaper than LogRhythm, Exabeam, Splunk, as well as Elastic Security. A few months ago, when we were comparing Securonix with Elastic Security, we found Securonix to be cheaper than Elasticsearch. We were pretty surprised that Elastic Security is more expensive than Securonix because Elasticsearch is just starting, and it cannot compete with Securonix at this time. So, the pricing of Securonix is pretty good for now."
  • "The pricing is fine compared to the market but I think that at some point the competitors will catch up on price."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by Saviynt users.

An Identity and Access Management Specialist at a non-tech company states, "The dedicated Freshdesk platform is a user community and a step in the right direction for offering learning resources. Saviynt has a lot of potential with many features available for users."

A Principal Consultant at a tech services company says, "It's a highly functional system and a very well rounded solution. The onboarding of applications is solid. Their user access reviews are very good. Their role-based model and their identity life cycle stuff are solid.”

PeerSpot user Amimesh A., Senior Associate at a tech services company, mentions, “The most valuable feature is the ease of implementation. This product works well out of the box and if you don’t want to do a lot of configuration then this is the best tool. The reporting features are good.”

Irappa H., Manager at a computer software company, comments, “The most valuable features are the workflows and certification.”

Securonix Security Analytics SNYPR is a next-generation security analytics platform that transforms big data into actionable security intelligence, enabling you to take care of so much more than simply your SIEM (security information and event management) needs. In addition, it contains all of the tools that you may need to enable your organization to successfully handle both log management as well as UEBA (user and entity behavior analytics)-related tasks. The SNYPR management platform gives users the ability to combine security orchestration, automation, and response, security information and event management, network traffic analysis, and user and entity behavior analytics. This single technical environment does away with your need for multiple security, management, and analytics solutions.

Securonix Security Analytics SNYPR’s unified platform can be scaled up to handle up to one million security events every second. While this load may seem heavy, SNYPR handles it with ease. It is able to reduce incidents of false security positives by 60%. The access certification workload that IT administrators and managers need to deal with can be reduced by as much as 90%.

The model that this platform uses is based on a machine learning algorithm. This model gives Securonix Security Analytics’s SNYPR platform a number of extremely valuable capabilities. The platform gathers many different types of data and applies what it learns to threats as they arise. The system assigns threats risk values to determine where the areas of highest need are. Machine learning also allows you to respond to slow acting threats by using historical data to inform your response.

All of the data that the system gathers is stitched together and used to create a complete picture of the risks that the system faces. Any blind spots that may exist are exposed by the collaborative UI that compiles the system data in a single location. This also increases your ability to monitor advanced application threats.

    Key Features

Some of Securonix Security Analytics’s SNYPR platform’s key features include:

    • The ability to enrich all data that the SNYPR platform collects. When SNYPR gathers information, it applies relevant data which can be used in the future to gauge whether or not a particular event is a threat.
    • The ability for data redundancy to automatically take place. All of the data that is gathered, analyzed, and processed by SNYPR is automatically copied and distributed across the system. If there is a failure in any particular part of the system, the information will still be preserved.
    • The ability to track historical issues and use that information to help deal with current threats. The SPOTTER feature allows analysts to look back at both old data and the contextual information that is attached to it. They can then use that data to inform their responses to similar threats that they are currently dealing with.

    Reviews from Real Users

Securonix Security Analytics SNYPR platform stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to significantly reduce the number of false positives that administrators have to deal with and the way that it incorporates contextual information into security events to reduce the time spent finding solutions to problems that arise.

Peerspot users note the effectiveness of these features. One user wrote, “Securonix’s analytics-driven approach for helping to find sophisticated threats and reduce false positives is pretty good. We are allowed to fine-tune according to our requirements and our clients' requirements, which does reduce false positives. In the last 24 hours, the total number of policies with triggers was 233. When I started with this product, the false positives were 561. Therefore, the solution has helped by tuning or reducing false positives.”

Another user noted, “The way that a Securonix is able to put a lot of the contextual information into the events is very helpful. That has reduced the amount of time required for investigating, ‘Hey, this might be something I need to look at,’ and then doing further research. It puts all of those violations in one event or case, so that you can look at different types of violations that all correlate. That has reduced the amount of time for researching some of those cases. It's dependent upon the scenario, but in some cases it could save an hour of going out and doing a bunch of individual searches.”
