We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"What's most valuable in SAP NetWeaver is the integration. That's been very helpful because the company has one thousand five hundred interfaces running, so integration has been the most significant factor. I've also seen many improvements in the SAP NetWeaver user experience, where users can have reports delivered to mobile devices.""It is the central point for all our data storage. We have one single version of the truth that we can communicate to all our customers.""The presentation is the most valuable feature. It's very conceptual. We had to follow the instructions very strictly. It's a Dutch or German product and we had to follow it step-by-step.""We can use different transaction codes to check the performance of the system, and if we are unable to access a particular transaction, we can still check the table to see what is happening.""SAP NetWeaver is doing its job, and it performs well. In the last year, I have not had any problems with it.""With SAP, you can trust what it tells you.""The stability is not an issue, and I would rate it at seven out of ten.""The integration feature is valuable."

"The most valuable feature is the snapshot capability.""The stability and restore options on the solution are very good.""One of the most valuable features of Veeam Cloud Connect is it does not require the use of an extremely fast internet connection for it to work. The backup process is automated which is great.""The most valuable features are the fast replication and recovery of data.""I've found flexibility to the most valuable feature. I also like that it's scalable and that the stability is okay.""The best part about this solution is that it just works.""While there are some complexities, Veeam tries to keep the product simple and offers a good knowledge base. It's quite structured, so you can easily take one subject and learn about it simply by reading through the documentation.""I like the fact that it gives you the possibility to set the data out of the customer on-premises site and to have an off-site copy in your Cloud Data Center."

Cons
"The product documentation can be improved.""Though SAP NetWeaver has been pretty stable and mature, some issues arose after some customizations, so that's an area for improvement.""SAP NetWeaver it's still complex for a normal user unless you memorize those action codes.""SAP NetWeaver should be better integrated with other products outside of SAP.""The initial setup was not very easy.""Scalability would be a good improvement in future releases, if they do release future versions. They tried to create a seamless style, but it's not necessarily scalable to big development environments that we're trying to achieve.""SAP is likely transitioning to S4, so it is unlikely that they will continue to use NetWeaver.""Technical support response time was slow."

More SAP NetWeaver Cons →

"Basically, a huge amount of storage capacity can be required in certain cases.""The solution could improve the stability.""Some of the features I'd like added to the solution would be coming up in version 12, so the only area for improvement I saw in Veeam Cloud Connect was the need to have more support for object storage.""The security of encrypted data could be better.""The pricing is much higher than what our clients expect it to be.""It would be helpful if the enterprise edition was more complete. It's not as complete as the enterprise plus edition is. For instance, in the enterprise version, we can only use one accelerator with the cloud provider. It means if I have my Cloud Connect, I cannot connect another site of mine with another cloud connect and use an accelerator of Veeam. They should change this.""I would like to see more advanced training courses made available to cover complicated use cases.""The bandwidth optimization needs to be improved and have better efficiency so that you send fewer amounts of data from one site to the other."

    Overview
SAP NetWeaver is an open application platfrom that provides a comprehensive set of tools and Web services technologies that support seamless enterprise application integration, master data management (MDM), system integration, and more.

Veeam Cloud Connect for the Enterprise enables businesses to act as a disaster recover (DR) service provider to deliver off-site backup and replication services to internal customers. This eliminates complexity by removing the need to maintain a VPN connection and it improves security by encapsulating all backup and management traffic into a single port.
