Cons
"The high cost of the product is an area of concern where improvements are required.""It does data manipulation language (DML) replication, but it does not do data definition language (DDL) replication. In my opinion, it is a disadvantage. It would be nicer if it was able to do both DML and DDL. I'm not 100% certain of this, but it seems Oracle Golden Gate does both DML and DDL. MIMIX only does DML, and it would be very nice if they included DDL replication. This is one feature that would be very helpful to have."

"The reliability is sometimes lacking.""The pricing could be cheaper.""Veritas System Recovery’s pricing and local support need some improvement.""Veritas System Recovery Manager offers some manager solutions, but there is room for improvement.""We faced issues with recovery and restoration.""The product's integration capabilities are an area with certain shortcomings where improvements are required.""Lacks the ability to protect the database snapshot.""It needs an easier interface."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The licensing provides the access to support. I do know that there's an annual charge for being able to call into their support line and get a technical team from Precisely to assist with any issues we may have. I don't think there are any additional costs other than what we incur internally in terms of the infrastructure that we need to run and operate the product."
  • "The cost of the product is too high."

  • "My company has to make yearly payments towards the licensing costs attached to the solution. There is no need to pay any additional fees apart from the licensing costs attached to the solution."
