I like writing preformance queries for preprocessing on AWS Cloud. It is quick, secure, and has less hassles because we don't have to involve our networking team, infrastructure, etc. It is very easy to deploy and make market ready.

The pricing is a bit higher than the competition. They'll need to lower it to stay competitive. The charts in Tableau are quite limited.Requires a lot of user training.Reports should be downloadable as PDF files.Conditional formatting could be an interesting feature to provide to final users. The data preparation/blending options are very basic. They could be improved.Tableau is a company that does not respect partners.I would like Tableau to handle geospatial data better in terms of multiple layers and shapefiles.

Pricing and Cost Advice
The company chose to purchase a creator license for me, which was $70. With that license, you can also be an administrator. We also have 20-25 extra licenses and they cost around $20-$35 each. Those are for normal users who will be viewing the dashboards. Those are monthly charges. The cost of the solution should be improved.Tableau's licensing is pretty straightforward and simple.ROI is very high, but it requires a data preparation/blending tool.Be careful with the Tableau Viewer's licenses, and stay with the right number of users. The initial cost that is set according to CPU cores is expensive. We always consider pricing when considering a new solution. We are a non-profit and price is a huge concern.Tableau is an expensive solution, though it comes with its advantages.

We had a lot of parties involved when purchasing from the AWS Marketplace. They are very flexible and aggressive in trying to close the deal. They are good at what they have to offer and listening to the customer. It's a two-way street. In this day and age, we want to get things done quickly. So, we go to the AWS Marketplace.
