We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"There's this graphic that tells you how many lines or how many tickets are in each step. In that way, you know where you stand. I find this feature very valuable.""The interface and the number of connectors that they provide are the most valuable features. The support here, it's kind of okay. But the main thing is with the number of connectors and the UI, the user interface.""Easy to use and easy to integrate into the products and applications we provide for our customers.""Overall, the solution has been very solid.""Camunda Platform has a very good interface for workflow and business process design.""The modeler is useful for creating the flow. The way to access the data through their REST API is also valuable. This is what we're using right now.""Ease of use and ability to streamline a process model.""Camunda Platform is better than IBM BPM, and Azure. It is more elaborate."

"It is the best product because of its stability. ActiveMatrix 5.x is highly stable in production, and the downtime is very low. I have worked on a lot of service projects, and the engine is very stable, robust, and scalable. The development and change requests can be pushed quickly, and the mapper activity and SSLT kind of features are also good. It is easy to do changes, testing, and deployment. Its deployment is very easy, and we can automate a lot of scripts for our on-premises solution. I work for an investment bank, and we have automated a lot of processes for our customers. Previously, we used to develop scripts and tools. With version 6.x, everything is moved to Maven and other things. Environment handling is done mostly through DevOps tools. As compared to Mulesoft, the deployment and configuration are very easy in TIBCO.""The scheduling and the calendar are very useful."

Cons
"Documentation can be improved.""In the future, I would definitely like to see the process administration (migration, audit, tracking) and process evaluation (optimize) features added to the community edition.""The user interface needs improvement. It should be more tailored to the end-user and offer a better user experience design over the user interface itself.""Lacking in forms visualization.""The only drawback is the time that it takes to have a complete set of workflows implemented on the Camunda platform.""The solution could use some enhancements like adding connectors, improving forms and having a mobile app, but everything is an enhancement rather than a flaw.""The user interface needs some polishing because it is too technical for end-users to use it.""Would be helpful if there were additional out-of-the-box activities."

"ActiveMatrix is in the middle field. MuleDB is more on the engineering side with Java and other things. SnapLogic is there are on the higher side with very low coding. TIBCO stays in the middle like IBM or Oracle. TIBCO can move towards IBM's way of doing. IBM has a big market and many varieties of products and good integration, which TIBCO doesn't have. It can have better integration. TIBCO's transition to the cloud is a little slow. As compared to Dell, Boomi, and Mulesoft. TIBCO took the steps a little later. TIBCO's ID was far better and easier to work with previously. TIBCO's 5.x ID was very good, and the development environment and the transition were easy. Version 6.5 onwards, it is a stable product, but it would be good if they can do something similar to version 5.4 with version 6. They should concentrate on this API market. It will give them the strength and the ability to grab the market back.""Technical support needs to be streamlined."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"Licensing costs are anywhere from $80,000 to $100,000 USD per year.""We pay for the license of this solution annually.""There is an open-source version available, that in its core features (workflow and decision engine, modeler) is exactly the same as in the enterprise version.""The open-source version of the product is free to use.""The cost of this solution is better than some competing products.""When compared with the proprietary products, the pricing costs are much less, even though it is an enterprise edition.""We use the open-source version, which can be used at no cost.""Generally, the price could be better, as well as the licensing fees."
