Overview
The TIBCO ActiveMatrix Lifecycle Governance product does not come with any user licenses. Customers will need to purchase either named user licenses, concurrent user licenses, or any mixture of the two as outlined below. Requires the customer to have a valid license for either the production or developer versions of the TIBCO ActiveMatrix Lifecycle Governance product. TIBCO ActiveMatrix Lifecycle Governance Framework provides design-time governance that includes everything required for service lifecycle management. Included in the platform are an SOA registry, metadata repository for service artifacts, service lifecycle management tools, service contract management, and design-time policy/validation management. The product also comes with a plug-in that allows Visual Studio or Eclipse developers to interact directly with registry or repository from their IDE.
Windows Process Activation Service generalizes the Internet Information Services (IIS) process model, removing the dependency on HTTP. All the features of IIS that were previously available only to HTTP applications are now available to applications hosting Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) services, by using non-HTTP protocols. IIS 7.0 also uses Windows Process Activation Service for message-based activation over HTTP.
