Find out what your peers are saying about Veeam Software, Zerto, Commvault and others in Backup and Recovery."The backup and restore capabilities are key. The most useful things to us about Commvault, in general, is the breadth of the applications that it can protect as well as the features inside of it, like deduplication and encryption. When people get their data encrypted, Commvault has a way to tell if somebody is being attacked through a cybersecurity threat because their data changes. So, Commvault has what they call honeypot files out there to look to see if anybody is changing these files. Only Commvault knows which files those are, so nobody should be messing with those files. If it changes, then it will alert you to say, "Oh, I potentially have somebody messing with my files." It will alert you to something going on in your environment that probably shouldn't be happening. We deploy that with all our customers so they have this capability as well."
"Commvault gives us a single platform to manage and recover our data. Since we are a research organization, backup is one of the most critical parts of our IT operations and services. Internally, we run it as a managed service, and there is a single console that makes it easy for management to see the performance."
"Commvault is very simple to use and it is automated."
"The most valuable features of Commvault HyperScale X are all the general functions and the performance."
"Commvault's Command Center is one of the best solutions out there. You can rely on Commvault solutions for the most complex and most demanding environments."
"The diversity on offer is very, very good. Everything is supported. It's great."
"The most valuable feature is the ability it gives me to automate backups well and consistently, and to follow up on them as well. It also provides consistent recovery processes. Whenever we have needed to do a restore, it has worked quickly and efficiently."
"Global deduplication and the indexing of the data object are the most valuable features. It saves costs on the product side by doing compression and deduplication. It will help you and make your life easy to reach the data that you need within the minimum downtime when it's required."
"The product supports different platforms."
"The most valuable feature is the integrity."
"Its reporting features are great. It gives you an in-depth report. Its customization is also great, and it is working fine."

"Even if you change a single word in Notepad, it will let you know whether it was added, removed, or modified."
"We use Tripwire Enterprise as a tool to test the vulnerability of a network. That is the most valuable feature of the product for us."
"The most valuable feature is integrity management. I had some discussions with service providers, and they also agreed."
"File monitoring is the most valuable feature of the solution."
"There is room for improvement in terms of data security."
"We previously had difficulty with the support being foreign."
"The product does not provide an option to save a copy of data on-premises."
"Commvault HyperScale X is more expensive for hybrid environments than traditional solutions."
"The speed of the Office 365 Backup & Recovery feature is adequate. Microsoft controls the amount of bandwidth that people have when they're using Azure and the O365 environment... If they could work out something with Microsoft to improve the speed, that would help."
"Command Center definitely gives us a complete view of our data. But finding some of the granular, very small items that we sometimes have to find, such as auxiliary copies for tapes, I still find that it's easier to navigate and, sometimes, only possible to find them using the CommCell tool."
"The solution requires improvement with its connection and bandwidth."
"The local support could be improved."
"Cloud monitoring could be better. It would also be better if the company followed a pay-as-you-use model."
"The Windows online integration license needs to be improved."
"A lot of network devices need a custom integration."
"The initial setup is complex."
"The deployment with certain systems can be difficult and it needs to be simplified."
"It needs more local support from the OEM side. It would be great if this can be improved."
"The main way that it can be improved is through better reporting."
"An area for improvement in Tripwire Enterprise is stability, as my company had stability issues with the last few versions of the solution. Tripwire Enterprise has been a bit buggy."
