Quotes From Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"The licensing cost is very less for NeoLoad. It is user-friendly and easy to understand because they have created so many useful functionalities. When I started working with this tool, we just had to do the initial assessment about whether this tool will be able to support our daily work or not. I could easily understand it. I didn't have to search Google or watch YouTube videos. In just 15 to 20 minutes, I was able to understand the tool.""The test cases are quite easy to build and to maintain. This is the most valuable aspect of the solution for us. It's the reason why they changed from JMeter to NeoLoad.""The scripting is really user-friendly and the reporting is very good.""The most valuable feature is flexibility, as it connects to all of the endpoints that we need it to.""Very easy to use the front end and the UI is very good.""The stability is okay."

"The solution has plenty of features compared to other solutions.""The technical support is good, we were satisfied.""The initial setup isn't too difficult.""This tool is very easy to use and I think that anyone can come in, having no experience with it, and within four to six months be comfortable with it.""The feature that I have found the most valuable is the recovery and cleanup process. Suppose there is a list of test cases and one test case has failed, it should not impact the other test cases. We can reuse the same test case. We can change the configuration of parameters and then use the test cases on the same thing. So, that's a useful thing. Otherwise, we have to use the cleanup process. Another useful feature is to have our own library files. We can create our objects in the libraries and reuse them. There is no need to create duplicate data for that. They have been giving some enhancements recently which means integration is also there. They've integrated with different software like Jenkins, Bamboo. So, we can also create pipeline points. They have recently given SAP and everything, which is very useful.""This solution is easy to use for everybody, including those who are not IT-educated.""You can quickly build automated testing, manage it, and have it run on a regular basis to ensure that there are no issues.""It's integrated with different technologies, desktop applications, package solutions like SAP, and mobile applications."

Cons
"Support wasn't able to solve a technical issue.""LoadRunner supports multiple protocols, whereas NeoLoad supports only three protocols. With NeoLoad, we can go for the SAP technology, web-based HTTP, and Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). If I have to simulate .NET application-based traffic, I won't be able to do that. So, protocol support is a limitation for NeoLoad. It should support more protocols.""LoadRunner offers a full protocol, whereas, with this product, only a few of the protocols are supported - not all.""Most people focus on HTTPS or TCP, but it would be good to have support for a variety of different protocols.""Sometimes it's complicated to maintain the test cases. It's much easier than in JMeter, however. I'm not sure if this depends so much on NeoLoad, or is more based on the environment that we are testing.""I would like to see support for auto-correlations."

"The main area where there is room for improvement is how they do upgrades. Going through this current upgrade, we were delayed a month because we are using a third-party tool. It's called Tosca Connect by Tasktop. When this latest upgrade broke that relationship between the two, it took Tricentis a month to come back with a workable solution... Their whole upgrade process needs to be better and cleaner, from an end-user standpoint.""Primarily I'm dealing with customers looking for a cheap solution, and they are willing to try open-source automation solutions. So from this perspective, the price of Tosca is not as competitive.""You need to spend much more time learning the tool and how to use it, compared to others.""While the initial setup was straightforward, we required assistance with the configuration to ensure that everything was done correctly.""I have found that some of the functions could be missed in the solution for new users. They are not obviously present.""Many times when we have raised a ticket, we did not get an urgent response.""The solution is expensive.""I would like to see better integration with other testing tools."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"Licensing for NeoLoad is subscription-based.""Its licensing cost is very less."

More Tricentis NeoLoad Pricing and Cost Advice »

"Tricentis Tosca is an expensive solution and there is an annual license required. The whole licensing process is confusing and it could be made easier.""I am satisfied with the cost.""I'm not sure if I'm at liberty to talk about the pricing, but it has some significant costs. For example, you have to pay a license and maintenance fee. Then the rest of the terms are negotiable. We have to consider what we need and what benefit we get from it.""My understanding is that it's an expensive product, although I don't know the specifics with regards to pricing.""I would like to see better costing packs. There are several features but USD $11,000 for one license is expensive.""They are probably more expensive than other comparable tools, but you also get the full suite of testing tools."
